Why is there no 2p BTT? I was watching the new 2P WR and it got me wondering why there is no BTT for MP. MP is like the staple of this game and your seriously telling me no one ever thought of that or made one. I think it'd be a really good idea since MP is so well known in the game and can bring in a lot of viewers and glitches and expolits could be used that would otherwise be impossible to do in singleplayer making the speedrun more entertaining. Speaking of BTTs where's the 380 star BTT for Switch?
The community started a 380 BTT but never finished it due to lack of top runners being interested in it. We theorized that High/Mid 3:0X is the BTT time for 380. Same thing would go with 2P BTT where hardly any top runner would be interested in making it since the category is VERY inactive.
even if the top runners had interest in a 2p btt, it would require local multiplayer to avoid lag (which usually means having to travel to another continent)
well if we're not gonna see a 380 star or 2P BTT I could just settle with a personal sum of best if anyone's interested? he said in an unconfident voice
The best time for 380 is most likely a 3:0X. For 2P Any%, it's hard to tell due to the score cutscene, 2p strats like the ground pound thing for mystery boxes, and 2 Player Captain Toad strats existing.
well the score cutscene lasts about 3 secs if you were to do 85 levels( assuming you got on average 2 stars per level ) there would be 4 mins and 15 sec of cutscenes so a 1:2x:xx should be possible
