Spider-Man 2 Enter Electro Speed Running Guide - Any% Easy - By Topottsel Strategies by Myself and TheINFINITE110
This guide assumes that you have some knowledge of the game. It is recommend that you watch a run and use this guide as an aid to explain what is happening and how.
Enter The Web-Head: This is the tutorial level. You basically swing forward and slightly to the right, building to building.
Burglary Interrupted: Kill the first 2 guys near you then proceed to swing left from your starting direction. Kill the 2 guys by the car and web ball or simply web up the 2 flaming windows. Note: They don’t need to be on fire for it to count, you can usually web one window before the car sets on fire. Now do through a near by alley, then left to a basketball court. After a few seconds you can skip the cutscene where they surround you. Kill them with web balls, grab the web cartridge and exit to the left of the basketball net. Then swing left down the right to a coffee shop. A cutscene will play then you can kill the 2 henchmen after the cutscene plays (which you can partially skip) web yank the fire hydrant and make your way up the street ahead of you/to the left of you. After another cutscene you can climb up the building. You want to be as close to the building, or even on it, before the cutscene plays.
Rooftops By Knight: Swing forward to the bridge, swing across the buildings on the right hand side. On the last building swing to the side of the building on the left and cut swing to the building on the right. Then swing to the building with the first gun. web up the gun (Triangle) and swing forward to the second gun and do the same. Swing left to the third gun and repeat. Swing to the last 2 buildings then to the hanger.
Warehouse 66: Jump-web most enemies here, you will want to either jump up or web zip up high to get the henchmen on top of the boxes. When you are struggling to find the last 1-3 just web zip to the roof in the middle of the warehouse and look around to spot them. Jump down and web ball or homing kick. Return to the roof if you need to spot others. Red arrows are a great indicator of where enemies are. There are 13 guys around the level. You have killed them all when Spider-Man says ‘I think there’s one more left’. This 14th guy will spawn pretty much the opposite of wherever you are. Just wait in the middle of the level and he will arrive, just turn 90 degree, L1 to centre camera, and repeat till you see where he is coming from.
Spidey Vs. Shocker: Very easy fight, walk forward for a couple of seconds, web yank Shocker towards you, L2/Auto target the crate above and to the right of him, yank it down on him. If done right he will have a tiny amount of health left, simply jump and homing kick/punch him. In 1-2 hits he will be dead. Occasionally he will die instantly from the crate.
Smoke Screen: There is some RNG here but not as much as you think at first. Best to pick up 2-3 web cartridges in this level as you go past them. Simply swing forward across the buildings to the bomb. After a small cutscene you will need to find the keys. You will find groups of 3 men around the level. 1 guy in each set of 3 will have one of the coloured keys, some guys are on the floor, some on low buildings, some on high buildings and some in the streets between blocks. If you go back down one side of the level, then up the other on the way back you should catch them all. Once you have all 4 keys put them into the bomb. Note if you don’t get all 4 keys before the bomb oes off you are being too slow, on Easy at least. (See Resources for Map)
Hanger 18: There are 6 turret guns, go to the left and web it up. Next go north, then do the 2 in the middle. Go back up to the top right of the map, then down to the last one. This makes an ‘M’ pattern.
Wind Tunnel: A very difficult level until you know the strats. Swing in front of the plane and swing-web 1-2 of the barrels in the planes path. Turn around and web up one engine, either fully or half way (the plane will start turning one direction). Then fully web up the other side (The plane will turn the other way now or halt). If you only half webbed up the first engine then fully web it up now. If the plane runs you over don’t panic, simply jump forward and away to avoid being trapped under it. You will fail this a lot until you practise it.
To Catch A Thief: Simply swing from building to building, crane to crane. Cranes are a pain and you need to be careful. Once you have gone through it a few times you won’t ever get hit by the rocket launchers because you will be going so fast.
In Darkest Night: Press both buttons in Area 1, then the left button in Area 2, then swing to the exit. Press the button on the end generator and make your way to the exit. If done right mashing X will skip a cutscene and unload part of the level, just jump for the now opened gate.
Heart of Darkness: Swing to the end of the first Area where door No.1 is climb on the wall and above the height of the fence. Then target the wall behind at the base which you can web zip to. Make your way to the wall on the left and drop down. If you time a swing right you will swing straight into the train yard and be able to walk into the end level trigger in door No. 7.
Catch that Train: Really straight forward. Swing, sand wall appears, grab objects to smash wall, swing to next wall. Watch for your spidey sense as it alerts you to when sandman is teleporting to you and will smash whatever you are holding. You will get a sense for the timing after a few plays. Pick up web cartridges along we way if convenient. You need to manage your web suply through the game and pick up more when it is most convenient for you, I think this level is very convenient. Barrels do 50% damage to the wall, crates do 25%, so the more barrels you use quickly, the better.
Gangland: Kill both guards, web yank the grate on the ceiling, web zip into air duct, make your way to the elevator. Skip small cutscene then auto target the weak wire. Web it up then web the button on the far side. Jump/swing to the web cartridge if necessary then climb up the wall on the left to proceed.
You can rescue in the next area you can kill everyone, kill only hostage holders, or just touch hostages to free them. I like to kill the hostage holders and anyone in my way. Once all 5 here are saved, web yank the grate between the bookcases, make you way through the vent. In the last area jump web the hostage holder in the cubicle then web ball the 2 wooden doors in the hallway and touch the hostages to free them. Kill guards if they are in your way. Then proceed to the end door. If you kill guards you do get a couple more spawning, so you might prefer to run and just touch hostages to free them.
Spidey Vs. Hammerhead: Move to the left at the start to dodge him and face the window where Hammerhead will end up. Make sure a red arrow is above his head then web yank his gun away. Do a simple 3 kick combo. Then jump away and web yank his gun again, put on web fists and land all three hit of your punch combo. This will kill Hammerhead and avoid his second phase where he jumps out of the window and a helicopter attacks you. If this fails you just have to repeat the gun yanking and hit him again.
Spidey In The Machine: Swing through the tunnel to the next room. IGNORE THE BOILERS (Danger this is risky, you can do the boilers and play it safe.. Do not swing into the room as the cutscene plays as this can mess up your camera and lose you time in the confusion.
Jump/swing over to the control panel and stop the dots in the circle. Run in and web zip up and jump down on the higher floor. Go into the room and web both controls to turn off both turbines. You can press one and then turn around during the cutscene and press the other, skipping a 3 second cutscene. Jump back down and out and zip up the generator on the right and continue right along the air duct. Then up and left. Make you way through to the next control room. Line Spider-Man up with the left side of Door 2 and L1 aim on the diagonal bit where the door meets the door frame and wiggle the reticle around while mashing R2. You will eventually get a green reticle and zip through, skipping opening the door and lasers etc. This must been done in 10-20 seconds before the boiler explodes. Alternatively, you can be casual and run to the other room and open the door.
Mission:Spidey: ----New Strat---- Swing to Door 3 on your left, stand on the right hand side, where the door ‘mat’ meets the bridge. L1 target where the on the diagonal bit where the door meets the door frame and wiggle the reticle around while mashing R2. You will eventually get a green reticle and zip through. Now jump down and go to the computer on the left, mash triangle till the bars are full and then press circle to take down the barrier. Now web the 3 buttons on the central pillar, avoiding the force field. After that press the 4th button that was behind the lasers and quickly get back to the computer (the robots will be attacking you around this point). On the computer press Square to turn the forcefield back on. Now make your way to the left hand corner of the door we clipped through and try the same again. (Use L1 on the diagonal bit where the door meets the door frame and wiggle the reticle around while mashing R2. You will eventually get a green reticle and zip through. This is tricky but will eventually work. Now you need to drop down/be knocked down from the tower. Target the top left hand bit of door frame from Door 3. Then L1 target a gap between the door and its frame on the right hand side. Same trick as before. You will eventually webzip to the floor and walk to the exit.
---OLD RELIABLE STRATS:--- Web zip right above you and climb on top of the platform then face the switch and web it. Go back down, through the door, and press the switch to the next area. In this room just web ball the 3 panels on the 3 bot generators, press the switch at the end and make your way to the next room.
In the next room there are laser turrets, jump web them twice each to destroy them. Jump up the central pillar in the room and press a button (also get the health if you need it) then press the button at the end of the room and make your way back to the last room. Grab the electric webbing that is the the hub of this level on the way.
In the third room go to the panel on the left, press Triangle 4-5 times, then circle, then X to exit. You will then have to web 3 switches, being careful not to hit the electrical grid going round blocking them. Then press the switch at the back and RUN! Its very possible in this room that you will be too slow, the temperature will drop and the robots will start attacking you. Don’t panic. Jump away and use your electronic webbing on the ones near you and finish the switches.
The Corkscrew: Start off by jumping forward and web zipping up to a sloped overhang. From there crawl up and jump to the two button, one either side. You can web them or push them with punch. Then turn around to either side of the room and target one of the platforms. When ontop webzip to the platform above and crawl on top, being careful to avoid the blue lasers. Then target a little platform in the middle of the room and crawl on top.
You basically need to do this 3 times then target swing to a door.
Spidey Vs. Lizard: Go to the control panel in front of you and stop the dots in the highlighted zone for Vat 1, 2 and 3. Open containment then exit the panel, Lizard will grab you and throw you into a room. In this room should be a purple web cartridge with 3 shots in it. Triangle will shoot one of these shots. You want to hit Lizard with a shot, web fist up and lay into him. Repeat this for each shot and he should be dead on the third.
A lot of times this does not go to plan, a shot will miss or the Lizard will be shot during an animation and ignore it. In this case go through the door to the next room then again to the next room with a lightning probe over a table. You will see another purple web cartridge. Note the electric in the room will hurt you and the Lizard, even if the Lizard isn’t tranquilized, so this can kill him if he is on low health.
If you want to be risky, just solve Vat A then open the Containment Field. With practise you can see when is a good time to get Lizard. making him go through doors will nearly always force him to walk and be an easy target.
The Gauntlet: Fairly simple, swing towards the red laser pointers and press the switches. There are 4 at the start 2 left, 2 right, then a satellite dish in the middle at the end of the starting path. The 6th one on on a path on the right, after that just go to the exit on your spidey compass. In this level there are some easy to get web cartridges. Also note you might take quite a lot of damage from purple laser turrets, there is health dotted around, especially at the sides of the satellite dish. Don’t worry about destroying anything, just swing/jump around and press buttons from ON to OFF. I go for left first, then right, then over to the far left. Next to the one up top in the ‘middle, next the one left on the right. Then straight on to the 6th final one.
Spidey Vs. Sandman Again: Easy boss battle, then again they all are. Turn on the pressure valve with webbing and dodge Sandmans attacks. When the pressure is built up release it from another value, hopefully with Sandman standing where the water lands, you will earn these through playing the level. When he is hit, web fist up and get in 2 combos, then get in a kick combo. Repeat this process again and you should get a 2 cycle kill. If not just repeat the steps and he should be dead the next cycle.
Konichi-wa Spider-san: Destroy the 2 samurai that are alive. Web ball the screen around the generator in the middle then throw the samurai arms at it. There are two more samurai in glass cages on the side in the middle. There is then a room directly facing one of the exits from the generator, go in there and kill both samurai (Otherwise the other one will hit you while carrying the other one’s arm). This should be five arms and the generator destroyed. If you missed hitting with one just grab the other samurais arm. If you have missed 2 arms then it is a bad level for you but there are samurai in another room that you can kill.
Rock of Ages: (Strat by TheINFINITE110) Jump up at the start and stick to the wall in front of you. Press X then web zip up to the sign. Climb just onto the surface then mash R1 to web zip across and back again (avoiding the lightning cascade). Then climb up and Web Zip up again. Then climb onto the top of the bone, web zip up and climb onto the surface of the next poster. Press X again and web zip up to the left mammoth tusk. Hold down to climb on top of it, then webzip up to the car sticking out of the wall. Finally, jump off to the left then webzip up to the ceiling and level complete.
Spidey Vs. Electro: It seems the fastest strategy at the moment is web fist up, jump up to Electro, get in a couple of hits, get knocked down, repeat. Not very exciting but it works.
The Best Laid Plans: Immediately swing back to the other building and climb up the building, there are 4 small generators around the annetenna, jump web them then swing back to the other building you were knocked to at the start. Knock the capacitors off a generator and make sure it is between you and Electro. Web fist up, Electro will eventually strike the generator and be freaking out, jump over to him, home in with a kick, lay in double web fist combo and a kick combo. If done right first time he will go to the big antenna to recharge but it will break. If not you just have to go through the motions again.
Back with you and the generator will now be electric mines, these will usually hurt you and cost you time, making it faster to swing to another generator and destroy its capacitors. You repeat the steps from before, and hopefully get a 2 cycle kill. If not just repeat the last cycle.
