Before you begin, ensure all of the Luck-o-Tron Wheels are set to Power.
Begin the Chapter with Hot Head (with the "The Burninator" upgrade path) on the Portal. Hold down Attack1 and Attack2 as the intro plays so that Hot Head will immediately go to his Hot Rod form when you skip the intro. Drive straight through all of the walls. Between the two groups of walls, there is a sharp turn; turning here too much will cause you to hit a steep portion of the ground and lose speed, so be careful. Defeat the two Lancemasters and collect the Octophonic Music Player.
During the cutscene, switch to S2 Drobot (with the "Master Blaster" upgrade path). Immediately after skipping the cutscene, enter Persephone's Cabin and go into and out of her upgrade menu, then leave. Continue as usual. Defeat the Bark Demon as fast as possible, as it is the only enemy you need to defeat to open the gate to the key. As you insert the key into the slot on the gate, switch back to Hot Head. Drive tight against the edge of the island and break through the wall. Just before you grab the key, release all buttons to exit Hot Rod mode; as you grab the key, turn around and become a Hot Rod again. Pray that you are able to drive in between the Chompy Pod and Bark Demon (otherwise, just drive all the way around them) and unlock the gate while still holding down Attack1 and Attack2. Drive up to the nearest boulder and throw it at the left house in the distance. Defeat the Chompies as you make your way to the second boulder; throw this boulder towards the right house. As the boulder is flying, switch to any Lightcore Skylander and allow just enough frames for the Light Bomb to obliterate everything on-screen (this is all so you won't have to wait for the Archers to drop down to the ground), then switch to S2 Flameslinger (path does not matter, must have Wow-Pow Upgrade). Speed-Demon into to the farther house with the key, grab it, and run back out. Get as close as you can to the Bark Demon, then switch to LC Drobot (also with the "Master Blaster" upgrade path). Both Bounce Pads should automatically unlock; get the second key and open the gate. Don't be hasty in skipping Auric's dialogue, as pressing the skip button too many times may open up shop dialogue. Collect the Engine.
Remain as LC Drobot and defeat everything in the first portion of the island; Tech Skylanders get their EP activated here, so this should not take long to do. Immediately as you walk through the gate, turn directly left and shoot at the fleeing Flame Archers before they get too far from you. Finish off the rest of the enemies, and end the battle standing right next to the turret. Complete the turret minigame and proceed. At the push-block puzzle, push only the middle block to get through the line of blocks, but then push it back. Walk around to the start of the block bridge, and be careful as you navigate the edge of the left block that you did not push. Complete the turret minigame. As the gate opens, switch to S2 Flameslinger and Speed-Demon your way to the Compass.
