Right now there's only one real 16 star run since the other one ends at 70 star door (they probably didn't know you could skip it). This game has a lot of potential since there are many cool new tricks and skips that aren't possible in the original.

It is a 30 star mini hack developed by Stunning Cactus. There are two versions to the ROM thus far: 1.0 which was released on August 14, 2020 and v1.1 which was released on October 14, 2020 (https://sm64romhacks.com/hacks/sm64_royal_legacy/). The only difference I know between the two is you do not take fall damage in v1.1. Unless v1.0 does not include the end of game beta levels, that would require investigating.

Run submission: - This run was completed on version 1.1. I started the timer the moment I hit the reset button and stopped it after the fadeout in the Bowser stage, similar to how SM64 Sapphire is timed.
There has been another runner, Cchr1s, who has completed this in 28:49, which can be found at this VOD here -- . There is also Lahmus who has finished the game at 39:xx but does not have a highlight nor VOD and I know AussieAdam plans to speedrun soon (once he stops poking around for BLJ opportunities).
This is a Very underrated, Very overlooked, but more importantly VERY well-developed ROM hack. This belongs on the leaderboards. Thank you for your consideration!

I wish to have the ROM hack ''Return to Yoshi's Island 64 Demo by Kaze Emanuar (that just came yesterday by the time of this writing) to be added in speedrun.com. From what I heard, two possible categories can be played for speedruns: 0 star and 23 star. I think that timer should start as soon as Mario enters the pipe (first frame that it goes entirely black after pipe entering) in the file select screen and ends as soon as the screen goes completely black when Mario enters the 23 stars zone. :)

Hi all! I'm hoping we can add Tiny Huge Mario 64: https://sm64romhacks.com/hacks/tiny_huge_mario_64/
It is a Kaze hack that uses all of the same courses as the original game, but Mario's size is variable. By default, he is 50% of normal size, and that's the size I propose we track in the leaderboard. I wasn't sure if it would go under the main hacks or the secondary, but I bet someone here would know :)
Possible Categories:
- 0/1 star seems possible, but I've never done an SBLJ.
- 31 star - BLJs are possible, but I think Mario's hitbox is too small for Mips clip, so 16 star is out.
- 70 star.
- Max% - There are a few stars that I think are impossible, so it wouldn't quite be a 120-star run. I've gotten 114 stars, but not in a single run.
I've been running 31 star for a while on Twitch, my PB: Zestapeel is also working on 31 star: And I did a 70 star run once:
Super Mario Fantasy 64 There are 3/4 categories (clarification in a bit), 0 star, (12 star), 100 star, and 182 star
I'm on the fence as to whether an "easier any%" category should or shouldn't apply to this hack, mainly because in order to get past a vanish wall in bowser 3, you need to do 7 firsties, and I'm just unsure of whether that should be considered difficult enough to add an extra category.
Either way, if 12 star were to be added, it would be pretty different from 0 star, as you first chuckya clip through the 50 star door to get to bowser 2, then go to bowser 1 and open the 12 star door, and once you beat both bowsers, you can go to the vanish cap level, getting the vanish cap and bypassing the need to skip the door.

Mario grows with every coin 64
It's a hack by Kaze where you start of really small and grow with each coin you collect. At 45 coins you reach about normal size, if you collect more coins you get bigger.
It's pretty interesting because being bigger makes some stars easier and others harder, but being bigger makes it harder to do blj's or mips clip. So, running is a mix of collecting coins as fast as possible normal speed running and running while avoiding coins.
Technically, all stars are possible but require different amount of game resets. As such categories would be at least 120 star, 70 star no reset/reset, 16 star no reset/reset.
