All Known Glitches/Skips *Not Finished*

This guide is intended for possible future glitch hunters to know what's already known. If you're a new runner and want to know what strats are currently used in a run: check out my Any% Guide.

General Glitches:

Level 1:

3rd Totem Skip: 
Status: A bit slower than just hitting the totem normally. Skipping the first or second totem might save time, but skipping the 3rd totem would have to be really fast to save time.

Status: Very easy skip to do and saves a decent bit of time.

Fight OoB 1:
Status: Might be possible to skip the fight using this, but you don't have enough health to make it all the way around (And you can't buy armor at this point in the game).

Fight OoB 2:
Status: Useless since you can't get all the way around the fight.

Water Area OoB:
Status: Might be possible to get behind the gate.

Status: Possible to do but rather difficult. It really only skips having to kill the spiders, if the other OoB could get behind the gate it would save a lot more time than this.

Final Fight OoB:
Status: Not possible to skip the fight. I don't think the loading trigger for the end of the level exists until all the enemies are defeated (Unless I'm mistaken).

Piglot Skip:

Piglot area OoB:
Status: The invisible walls are too close to get behind the gate. Even if you could get behind the gate this way I don't think it would be faster than the other method listed above.

Coliseum Skip:

Fight Skip:

Fight Skip OoB:
Status: Pretty cool OoB but it's slower than the other method.

Level 4:

Elevator Soft Lock:
Status: Was hoping to skip the first and fifth boss fights with this but instead it softlocks.

2nd Boss Skip Ver. 1:


2nd Boss Skip Ver. 2:
Status: Costs a life to use but it's a bit faster than the other method.

Boss 3 and 4 Skip:
Status: This skips certain triggers that make the rest of the level not work properly

Boss 4 and Piglot Section Skip:
Status: Doesn't work for the same reason the previous skip doesn't work.

Boss 4 Skip:
Status: Doesn't skip as much as the previous would, but it still saves a good chunk of time.

Door Clips:

Laser Gate Skip:
Status: The button you have to hit doesn't work unless if you actually complete the fight.

Level 5:

Status: Slower than if you could just clip out right at the start, but still saves time from not having to wait for cycles

Most of Level Skip:
Status: Unfortunately skips certain level triggers that make this part work so it's not useful

Death Warp:

Level 7:

1st Section Skip:
Status: There's a newer skip that saves a LOT more time than this one

Smart Piglot Skip:
Status: Newer skip skips this section entirely

First Three Sections Skip:

Armageddon Skip Ver. 1
Status: Probably the slowest version of this skip. It's also kind of tricky since the camera doesn't want to cooperate here. This skip does skip triggers to make the end of the level work, but luckily you can activate the trigger just by touching the backside of the electric gate.

Armageddon Skip Ver. 2
Status: Faster than Ver. 1 (Could be the fastest version, but it hasn't been timed) and a lot safer than Ver. 3. This skip does skip triggers to make the end of the level work, but luckily you can activate the trigger just by touching the backside of the electric gate.

Armageddon Skip Ver. 3
Status: Possibly faster than Ver. 2 (Again, hasn't been timed) but it's a lot more risky since you don't get a checkpoint after doing the first three sections skip. This skip does skip triggers to make the end of the level work, but luckily you can activate the trigger just by touching the backside of the electric gate.

End of Level Skip:
Status: Need to stay on the left side to avoid voiding out.

Level 8: 

Fake Piglot Skip:

Smart Piglot Skip:
Status: Skips having to collect a bunch of tokens for a Sniper Rifle.

Sequence Break:

Level 9:

Armageddon Skip:

OoB: 
Status: Jumping anywhere out here will just make you void out (Unless if there's just a specific spot I haven't found).

Level 11:

OoB:
Status: Same thing as the Level 9 OoB

Armageddon Skip:

Fat Piglot Skip:

Level 13:

Status: Can get to the end of the level from here, but it's slower than just doing it normally.

Level 14:

Glowing Piglot Skip:
Status: It's faster to do it without armor but it's a lot trickier.

Fight Skip
Status: Not worth getting armor here since it's an easy skip and there's a full heal right after.

Glowing Piglost Skip 2:

Level 15:

Armageddon Skip (Kind of):
Status: Exiting game here for some reason plays the cutscene after the fight, but it still sends you to the title screen so it's useless.

Level 17:

Any% Guide

For early runs I would recommend playing with a memory card, I think this loses about a minute but if you game over or have to quit out for any reason you'll be booted back to the title screen with no way to continue. If you play without a memory card there'll be an extra dialogue box you'll need to skip after every level.

Level 1:

For movement as Ruff you'll want to double jump everywhere you can
For combat as Ruff you'll want to use the Square, Square, Circle combo.
Using a gun for parts with multiple enemies is effective early on, but later enemies are harder to kill with guns.

When teleporting the first Piglot, let it follow you to the teleporter. This skips a cutscene that would play if you picked it up.

Level 2:

In this level you unlock the power to play as Werewolf, which you'll want to do for most of the rest of the game. Most skips past this point are only possible with Werewolf, plus Werewolf is faster and stronger than Ruff. 

For movement as Werewolf you want to pretty much just double jump everywhere.
For combat as Werewolf you'll want to use the Square, Square, X combo (I'm pretty sure it does the same amount of damage as the Square, Square, Circle combo, but the animation is faster).

Level 4:

This level has 6 boss fights. 

You'll want to play as Ruff for the Guardians. You'll need to make sure you have full ammo in between each fight, if you run out of ammo during a fight you can either get more ammo from the ammo crates, or use the moon genetic power as Werewolf (Don't use all of your genetic power or you won't be able to use Werewolf until you get more).

For the Armageddon fight just use the Square, Square, X combo as Werewolf (This goes for all Armageddon fights in the game).

The 2nd boss can be skipped two different ways:

You have to start moving immediately after respawning or the fight will be triggered again.

I personally wouldn't recommend buying the shotgun here, it's very hard to hit the Guardians with it and it'll make the chances of getting Transfixer ammo lower. If you want the shotgun wait till level 5 or later to buy it.

Level 6:

For this boss you want to make sure he's in between attacks before picking up the Fake Piglot.
Make sure he's not in the middle when you release the Fake Piglot

The correct orders for the music boxes are:
1: Red, Blue
2: Yellow, Green, White
3: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White (You won't do this if you do the Fat Piglot skip listed below)

Level 12:

Let go of the Smart Piglot once the light changes to the color you need (I dont think the bosses attacks will make you drop the Piglot while you're in midair)

Armor can actually protect you from the mud and it makes the level a LOT easier.

Level 17:
I wouldn't recommend using any weapons as Ruff here, enemies take too long to kill and they can drain your health easily if you try this. Just ground pound as Werewolf when there are multiple enemies.

This level sometimes won't let you progress either because a door won't open or some enemies won't spawn.

If a door doesn't open you might've accidentally skipped over a trigger (this is the only reason I can think of for this happening, I could be completely wrong on this), try going backwards and activate previous checkpoints if this doesn't fix it then you'll have to restart the level.

I would recommend not skipping cutscenes of enemies spawning, this is the only reason I can think that enemies wouldn't spawn. If the enemies don't spawn you'll have to restart the level (This doesn't seem to be a problem in any other level).

Final Boss:

I would recommend playing as Ruff for this boss since Ruff's animation for picking up Piglot's is faster than Werewolf's and he seems to recover from ground pounding faster than Werewolf.

There are two spots to put the Piglot, make sure you use the same one all 3 times.
