Welcome to the dragonslayer speedrun guide, in this document I will explain what you need to do to compete in this category.

First, we look at what we need in the first place to complete dragon slayer:

33 quest points to start the quest. Melzar's Map Piece requires combat skills. This piece is fairly straightforward. Make sure you know the route through the maze.

Thalzar's Map Piece requires an unfired bowl, a wizards mind bomb, a lobster pot and silk. All pieces except the unfired bowl can be bought at a shop. The bowl needs level 8 crafting. Ofcourse, in this category you can trade to obtain the items.

For Lozar's Map Piece, you'll need either 10k gp or level 33 in magic for telekinetic grab. Obtaining level 33 in magic will most likely take too long, I have however only attempted melee so I always went with the 10k.

Then we need 90 nails, 3 planks and 2k gp for the ship. Crafting the nails yourself would take very long. It needs 34 smithing. The 3 planks can be found in the wilderness. In this category, we can also trade to obtain the items.

When we have all this and an anti dragon shield, we can fight Elvarg. I fight him with 30 attack, 30 defence and 30 strength. I have tried fighting him with ranged, but even with 35 ranged and 30 defence I could not defeat him. Magic might be an option as well, I have not looked into this.

Now that we know what we need, we can try getting all these things as efficiently as possible. For the 33 quest points, I have timed myself completing every quest. The quest efficiency is then time/rewarded quest points. I then set those in an order such that there will be an efficient path. In between quests I try to obtain the items I need for dragon slayer and the other quests.

Spend the goulash on attack XP, as it is already high from the Vampire Slayer reward.
