I would love to get into RGD speedrunning competitively, but I see very little point in doing so if the top of the leaderboards is always crowded by people playing with classes costing 300 or 500 robux. I would much rather be able to compete with people who actually got their classes through progression.
You do make a fair point. However you can always play with people who do have robux classes, and play competitively in multiplayer. I have thought about making separate leaderboards for just individual classes (though that might take forever lol).
Though it’s not always the robux classes that are good, some of the classes that require crown currency are pretty good.
I don't really get your points.
"Playing with people who do have robux classes" doesn't make sense when I just want to speedrun A0 warpless solo. There's also no need to make a leaderboard for individual classes, I would just make another sub-category for classes paid with robux compared to progressive currencies.
Lastly, it doesn't matter that "crown currency classes are PRETTY good", when there's classes (relic) that are clearly much faster. In the end, a perfect player not using a paid class will always lose to another perfect player using relic.

What if we split the leaderboard by non-robux classes vs robux classes, but there’ll be an option to see the “total” leaderboard, combining both at once (not sure if that’s possible)?
Unpaid leaderboards have been added for a0 any% and warpless%. The main leaderboard will encompass all runs, paid or unpaid, and the unpaid leaderboards only allow runs that don't have use any robux-locked features. I think it makes more sense to have a separate leaderboard for unpaid classes rather than a separate leaderboard for paid classes as more people are competing with paid classes, but unpaid leaderboards have been added so that people who don't want to/can't spend robux can still compete fairly
