But then do another duo run with a different person, does that get put as a different run or does it get updated to that person if it's a better time?

It won't be put as a different run due to the fact that it's a different person instead of the same person.

no red, that's wrong, it WILL be put as a different run. say you do a run with x person that is 16:00 and then proceed to do one with y person that is 15:00. both runs will be on the leaderboard. if you do 2 runs with y person and get a better score the second time, it gets updated.
