Maybe I've totally missed something, but I just stumbled across one of Clix's videos where he mentions cancelling the aim assist on console by holding L1.
Is this possible at all for PC?
you actually can't cancel auto aim on PC unfortunately :( hell knows why

Capcom decided it would be a bad idea to remove autoaim cancel for PC version.....so they did it anyway :p

I'm guessing the best strat at this point is just spin as fast as possible with it? I've been messing with a combo of knifing the webbing, pause cancel, dodge the acid spit, repeat. Seems safe and consistent, but hey, I could be wrong!
Depends on the category. I'd suggest watching runs and seeing the strats people use. There are a few variations of knife and bazooka strats used in runs.
