You can easily get him stuck there and bait him into a loop of his quick meele attack while being completly save and u got instant cover from acid rain.

On Village of Shadows difficulty I got him stuck there after breaking the 2 walls immediately, then had to use up my entire ammo (never fired a bullet outside of a bossfight besides killing some crows).

He only died after I ran out of ammo and then kited him over a mine next to one red barrel (did not use any barrels before in bossfight), so no idea what the kill condition is for him, as he easily eats 150-200 hits?

From what I understand from my own testing, using a fully upgraded stake I managed to pump like a full 15 rounds into him and a grenade, which is easily 50, 000+ damage as soon as he spawned. However, I don't think he will actually be able to die UNTIL he climbs on a roof and does at least one acid rain. I could be wrong but thats just my findings so far.

He climbed roof at least once before I pumped all my ammo into him as he sometimes get stunned and does that weird attack where he opens his mouth without being there and then slips out of the cheese spot. I think total he did 3 acid rains and got at least stunned 3 times where he stays out for a short while after doing enough damage.

But whats really weird is he died using a barrel + mine, it would be extremly unlikely that this was the last remaining health after pumping the entire available ammo into him.

I was messing around with a trainer, had a lot of fire power, he did not get a chance to move on a roof top, so maybe you need shit toon of damage quickly or you need him to climb on a roof. But for me he can die without climbing.

Considering I was spamming the STAKE relentlessly, which has the highest DPS I can calculate in the game (no, the handcannon and rocket pistol don't do more per shot, let alone in DPS) i feel like I would have deleted his health bar but it was VoS so. On standard or casual NG+ one cycling with no roof may be possible.

ive killed him without him going on the roof, just need to shoot him when he comes out of the mouth as much as possible, im going to record a run and upload it today and i should be able to easily do it again.

People have claimed to kill him on casual NG+ with the WCX just holding down auto fire without him doing any of the phases, so on easier difficulties it certainly sounds possible.

You can kill him right at spawn with grenade launcher then spamming the Stake. That's how I did it. No film of it unfortunately

Casual NG+ I clear Moreau fairly quick with no roof animation. Throw 2 pipe bombs as soon as he appears, then shoot him when he comes out of the mouth with your magnum. Works for me every time.

The first time I did it was an accident (1:31:18 in this video link below) but since then I've got it down pretty good. Use the Stake instead of the other magnum (fully upgraded, infinite ammo). Try not to knock yourself down like I do occasionally with the pipe bombs lol

EDIT: You can tell this was the 1st time I cleared it this way because I got really excited that I beat him in under a minute (which is one of the challenges).

Oh and on Village of Shadows, I used the same strat. However, I can't remember if he got in 1 roof animation on that one or not. But I only ran VoS on NG+ so I had maxed magnum with infinite ammo. On NG, good luck lol

ive killed him on casual ng+ in a few seconds, so unless the kill condition is completely different on VoS, it should be possible.
