It's amazing how many other examples we give you, but you just go in circles. Is there an actual reason for being against this change? Even one? Or are you standing firm on the "laziness" argument? Because if that's the only issue, I'm more than willing to retime every run (and many others as well).

People are interested in the fastest way to complete the game off a fresh file, from New Game. New Game Plus is not fresh file and requires setup. You know this already and are kinda just misleading the conversation, which is annoying. Communicate clearly.

(incidentally NG+ probably also benefits from a swap to RTA but eh)

i don't get how this makes sense as an argument, either timing method makes no difference to the run or it's faster, it can't be slower, that's physically impossible?

We created S&Q category, i think we're totally open for the discussion. But apparently you want it to appear on the main leaderboard next to ng and ng +. Whatever this any % thing is timed by RTA and IGT doesn't matter at this point.

But you can't change a IGT into a RTA just because it's possible to switch framerate on one version but not on the 8 other ones. I might have miscounted so many versions

Have you not seen a single run he's done? His RTA and IGT are different. That statement just shows you want him to be able to do whatever.

@Morse66 Why does it matter if you can't switch framerates on all of the versions? That just means they're slower and thus whoever chooses to run on those versions is accepting that their run will be slower.

Look at the main runs. Do you see a change in fps? No. Didn't think so. Why remake everything just because one person does it.

Just segment everything. Odds are, single segment runs are slower due to having mistakes. If you do single segment you just have to live with the fact you won't have the fastest time.

@RE_Snow Why do you keep bringing up "One person does it"? Only one person has used it because it's essentially taboo to do it as evidenced by the drama that resulted as a result of its use. I'm sure more people would start to use it if their runs weren't looked down upon and swept under the rug via an alternative category.

Yes, the RTA and IGT are different, obviously IGT is lower than RTA because video games. But saying "IGT is lower than RTA therefore RTA is slower for this category" makes no fucking sense, the actual time it takes to complete the run doesn't change because of the numbers used to display it, RTA can't be slower than itself because it's, y'know. Real time?

My point is all other versions except for Steam are crystal clear the IGT is what that matters at the end, right? However for steam it shouldn't change just because we considered one Any % category to happen, basically requested and created for one guy, which is fine i guess. RE4 is an In-Game Time, even the game gives you a final screen with the timer, the death, accuracy and stuff.
