The game gives the time at the end, known as IGT, you will have trouble changing it from RTA because of this Any% category based on new game easy while switching framerate.
So if i'm correct, NG + is not an any % based by some people, but NG is. Oh okay.
@Jcstrickland89 I don't think it's fair to discount framerate switching because of a disparity between the IGT and real time. If this can be excused without banning framerate switching, then I'm all for IGT being used.
@CretinPatrol IGT deems Framrate switching segmented due to stopping and resetting the timer.
does saving and quitting make in-game time inaccurate? It's very possible that you could just go by in-game time anyway if it's accurate enough
If you need to prepare a file running the game several times it's NOT any% whatsoever @Morse66
I Could understand zenix, but what about the other platforms? Would you define any % just the easy difficulty for new game ? So basically steam is the only one having this advantage for any% ? Kind of sad for the other platforms.
I also want to point out that 30 fps and 60 fps were basically regarded as two categories, and not just framerates. At first we didn't even know that 60 was faster. So think about mixing 30 and 60 as mixing two completely different categories, obtaining a any%.
Yeah this is a tricky situation. I think it would be better for the game to have a true any% category but switching every run to real-time might be really tough. The Pokemon community did something very similar recently.
@Jcstrickland89 You have a very valid point, Just because I can save and load my chapter does that mean I could make a entire segmented run till I get WR? Well you can't really do that considering We require video proof for world records.
