Overworld Map

Chests can be found in the overworld and in the dungeons. The loot is randomized but for the locations in the overworld there doesn't seem to be too many places. On this map there are only the known chests places.

Tactics

Work in progress:

I restart again when I can't find a chest with 50 gold in the village at the start (see on the map). This chest is always in the same place when it is there. However, several restarts may be necessary for this.
Then i buy the best armor and farm 10 gold to buy the best tail weapon. I go to the forest dungeon and hopefully beat the boss without taken damage. If i took damage i go two tiles north to heal and then go directly to the desert dungeon.
After i get the second key i beam me back to the village with a feather (you have three from the beginning). Then i heal and buy as much food as possible.
Next i travel to the mountain dungeon. Here is the first time i use magic (with three enemies) because of the mana cost. I need the gold for the food so i can't buy potions (you start with three). I use the potions only in the tower.
When i defeated the boss i use the last two feathers to beam to the overworld and then directly to the village. There i use the Inn to restore HP and MP and again buy food. Then i go to the tower.

This is an early strategy. A different way maybe a better route. I couldn't try out too much. Every time you defeat a boss there are more enemies fighting you. So starting ad another dungeon could be better.
