Stage practice files available

The Stage Practice archives in the Resources section contain save data for a given stage or stage boss. Currently, we have save files for Any% Relaxed (picks up only the Souvenir of Krog in stage 4).

Note that you can edit the save files further to give yourself more lives, health, or heal upgrades; this is recommended if you know that you pick up the heal upgrade in Stage 3, but you want to practice Stage 4 using the Any% save files (which emulate an "ideal" run with zero heal upgrades).

How to modify save files

To use these files, follow these steps in Windows. Note that you can do these steps while Primal Light is running and while in the main menu or file select menu. If you are in the file select menu, you won't see the files update in real time, but they will load correctly.

• Download the appropriate save file archive.
• Within the archive, open the stage folder and the checkpoint you want to practice. You will need to copy to "my_file" txt doc.
• Open a new file explorer window and type %appdata% into the search bar.
• Go to the following path: Godot\app_userdata\Primal Light (I recommend making a shortcut to this folder)
• Open one of the 3 save folders.
• Paste the "my_file" from the archive into the save folder, replacing the old contents.
• In Primal Light, select the appropriate save file; the game should load the level you pasted into the folder.
• You will need to repeat this process each time you want to practice a stage.
