ok so i've been trying any% runs and every time i go to fix the tv i get the stupid blue screen or the rickroll. is it random or can you avoid the death?

I think you have to be all the way onto the ground, and then the frame you are on the ground, it’s safe to press space. I recommend tagging Suzy before doing the TV mission.

Update: Actually the TV operates on a cycle. Every 5 seconds if you press space, the TV won't kill you.
