Are runs invalidated if I edited VTF files to make the textures on cubes, buttons, doors, turrets, cameras, and portal gun different?
Also, if I used the "Portal Tools" tool listed in the resources tab on this site, does that ruin the run?
All of those texture changes are allowed so long as they are not advantageous over the original textures. The only changes that are, as a rule, banned are texture changes to the walls or floors, and changes to the models, since they can affect the mechanics of the game.
As of today, 17/03/25, ghost door is officially banned in all runs, due to it not being possible without pre run setup (if a setup is found from game launch the rules will be updated accordingly).
