Hey! I've recently been forced to switch to windows 10 for a couple months, coming from Ubuntu, and i can't seem to figure out how to use 3420. I've downloaded the game on steam, but whenever i try to launch it (through the Portal.bat), a CMD window opens for 8 seconds, another window flashes up and then closes immediately, followed by the CMD window closing after. It crashes on launch. The base game, and the source 2.4 version, launch fine. If someone could help, that would be much appreciated! If there are any logs that i could submit, please point me toward them so i can upload them here. Thank you!

The default window size of the 3420 download is in 21:9 to account for low default field of view. This may be too big to display on your monitor. Edit the portal.bat file in the window dimensions section to whatever width and height you desire that fits. The 21:9 aspect ratio is irrelevant now as setting 90 fov is allowed through starting saves. I'd recommend joining the discord for further questions, much easier to get help from there.
