After some discussion in our Discord, it has been decided that everybody is now allowed to start your run this custom save file right after the first cutscene. The obvious upside is that nobody has to sit through one minute of cutscene when resetting! Even better, the autosplitter has already been updated to also auto-start when loading the save 🎉

However, while this is a valid and reliable way to start your run and while a considerable amount of testing has been done by many people from the community, for the off-chance that anything glitchy happens as a result of loading this save (e.g., using quicksand storage to gain an advantage) we reserve the right to reject any such run.
