How do some of these runs have the ability to collect DNA while in the upgrades area? I’ve tried mimicking what they are doing but the time freezes for me. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Just press 3 after the first pop-up shows. Don't close the pop-up. As long the pop-up is open, the game will not be auto paused

To add onto zylladys comment, your auto-pause needs to be enabled in settings

Ahhh I didn’t have auto pause on. Interesting how that works, I noticed mobile version time passes if you turn auto pause off so I assumed the same.
