I have been running Glitchless Any% for a few years now and am interested in recording a run. I play on Wii VC. Is there a way to change the text language of the game or am I stuck with English?
What do I need to do to record a run? My tech skills are not great. Do I need to record my screen through the Wii? I have not seen a simple way to do that. Thanks for any help.
You cannot change the text language of the game unless you use the Japanese WiiVC version.
To record a run, you can simply use a webcam or a phone and point it at the TV. Doesn't look very professional but gets the job done. You can also use something like a cheap AV to USB (around 10 dollars on amazon) https://www.amazon.com/Cable-NEORTX-Splitter-Composite-Adapter/dp/B0748BW3X2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=AV+to+usb&qid=1560794735&s=gateway&sr=8-3 Its not the greatest quality, but it generally gets the job done.
Join the discord linked in the resources tab and ask under capture and streaming. More people will be able to help there.
- You want to be using the Japanese version of the game which means softmodding your Wii. Again join the discord for all the resources you will need.
- To record a run you're gonna need a capture card, the one we usually recommend is the gv-usb2.
