so was testing with the Baratie skip (anyone think of a cooler name?) and it only works with Sanji as an npc...tried with Sanji as character and it uses Usopp to move the little ship...except then Usopp just goes back to spawn and won't move...so yeah...in that level use any other character then Sanji

did a quick test run...it stops Don Krieg from spawning other places on the map and allows Sanji to freely head to the objective...it save between like 30-40 seconds

I may look more into it cause my RTA for that level is 8:15 I believe... I think playing Sanji also saves around that much time from what I re all but I will do more testing later on both. You have a video of it? Besides your run..maybe a clip that shows it off instead of having to look for it

did another run yesterday...used Sanji at the begining...noticed my times were faster but switched to Zoro near the end since my Sanji was only lvl 50, also you can use Time Skip Sanji's lvl 2 special to KO the women characters...they can't just be in the initial knock up of but get hit by the fire...

I didn’t know that! Although, the special takes so long that it might just be faster to use a different character.

I’m messing around with Tashigi, since her movement speed is rather fast, and she has her spammy quick dash (alternating between her unique action and dash cancel). It’s a little unwieldy, but if it can be mastered, it might lead to some interesting runs.

His lvl 2 special can kill but once you get to the later portions of the game..it wont 1 hit kill really. Better off switching to another charavtwr..but yea Sanji is one of the better characters to use in my practice runs of this game. I just need to get a capture card for NG/NG+...although I may just use the ps4ms recording like I have been doing for segmented

Quick question for new game...do I just choose not to load my previous game data and everything will be fresh? Follow up question if I accidently save during that game does it overwrite my old file?

Once you exit out of the load screen, it’ll prompt you to make a new save. Say yes, then cancel out. You can then proceed without saving. Then, just disable auto save once you make it to the options menu.

My current record for NG is 4:52:20.61 (screenshot of splits: https://imgur.com/KEnObr1 ). Since there’s no video proof I can’t justify submitting it. I’m working on recording some runs, I’m just having problems with both my laptop and capture card (it’s an avermedia livegamer portable, and apparently I bought the wrong SD card so I need to try and reformat it to the right format.)

I prefer to Run NG+ than NG for this game cause I have tried it and just didnt hit home for me (I also dont care for how Luffy plays so there is than too...) But I know lower is also possible for NG+ from some of the practice runs of stages I have done for RTA.

My single run of NG+ pegged in at about 4 hours 10 minutes with lots of room to improve (I used Sanji for the return to sabaody and had my face kicked about by Perona for a good while, never making that mistake again XD)

RTA. I think I used sanji for every stage bar thriller bark, marineford 2 and punk hazard.

Sanji shouldnt be used for those two stages and the Return one as you found out rofl. I think you sue different skills than me too from what I saw beforehand

Most of the run was “spam SSST until it dies”. It might be an idea to have the skill that lets you deal damage to logia on. I used kizuna rush for those fights.

I avoid the rush which is why I think my RTA is better than the PC run on the levels I messed around with. FOr RTA I use a bit different of a set compared to my IGT runs where I messed around with stuff etc lol

I have a NG run recorded, but for some reason my capture card split it across multiple video files. I’m combining it right now, but it could take a while. There’s also a couple of points where about a second of footage was lost when it split up the files, and some audio desync. There’s also no splits on the video itself, just a separate livesplit file. So there’s a chance I can’t submit it.
