I see "Timebug" is something that happens here. I am wondering what it is and if it is avoidable or not.

It's a bug with the way the game's timer was programmed. It is not really avoidable, you can just reduce the effects in some of the games that it's present. We manually retime individual level runs anyway so you don't have to worry about it.
