[OUTDATED] Cop Any% Guide + Route

Making a Save File For Runs:
-back up and remove your current save located in Documents > Criterion Games > Need for Speed(TM) Hot Pursuit Remastered > Save > Default
-go in-game, go through the user agreement, change controls and other settings (if you want to) and DON'T start career. Close the game and then back up this save to use in runs.

Cars:
Unit 1: Crown Vic
Unit 2: Maserati GranTurismo S (use the Porsche Targa 4S for Denial of Service and use the Audi TT RS for Spike Out) - Check "Strats" for more details.
Unit 3: Aston Martin DBS/Porsche Panamera
Unit 4: Bentley Continental (use when you can)
Unit 5: Koenigsegg CCX

Strats:
-Emp/block strat (used on Spike Out, Weapon of Choice, Takedown Notice and Hard to Handle):
This strat involves using the EMP and Roadblock in combination to force the suspect to crash out at the roadblock.
1. Activate EMP and lock onto the suspect.
2. Activate roadblock as quickly as possible right after activating the EMP.
3. Slow down a bit when the EMP is about to hit the suspect.
4. After the EMP cutscene plays, slow down a bit more if you need to and then bust the suspect.

-Fight or Flight Early Roadblock: don't use the accelerator for about 7s when starting Fight or Flight and then start accelerating again, and once you're able to call in a roadblock, do so. Gives you a better potential roadblock spawns throughout the event.

-Turn around bust on Turn the Tables: Use the Audi TT RS, stay about one lane apart (from the suspect) to the right, hit the front of the suspect and slow down to block him. Example: https://youtu.be/_Qf81_Z3T_Y?t=2274

-Getting a "Pass": since the speedrun only requires that you finish events, it means you don't have to get "Distinctions" on all of them. With that in mind, some events (namely Snake Pit, Fight or Flight, Hard Target and End of the Line) allow you to easily wreck yourself in order to finish them early, but make sure you have reached at least a "Pass". For Snake Pit, get EMP'd by the suspects and use your spikes to take your health down to as low as it can go, then crash into a traffic car or a wall at high speed (as you can't wreck your car with your own spikes). Fight or Flight, Hard Target and End of the Line are similar; just get EMP'd a lot and maybe save some spikes just in case.

-Always use your full tank of NOS right at the beginning of Rapid Response events.

-Doing enough spike busts on Unit 1 will result in the Gran Turismo S being unlocked early for Spike Out.

-On Heavy Hitters, only activate heli once you reach the first tunnel.

-On Limited Emission, only activate a roadblock after coming out of the first tunnel.

HPR/HP10 Singleplayer IL WRs Spreadsheet

Speedrun.com is not a good way to know what all the current singleplayer IL (individual level) WRs are on Hot Pursuit because not everyone submits their runs (or even knows of speedrun.com's existence), as well as not every legitimate run being leaderboard valid - so it's best to check the spreadsheet linked below as it lists all of the current records and is regularly updated.
