i am looking into running this game but i see that i can not run nitro tracks no skips with out items. Can i turn them off or will my run be rejected?

Your run will be rejected if items are off on Nitro and Retro Tracks. We find them as a longer Time Trial category. I know 32 tracks has the options but thats more interesting
