### **No Collision State Glitch (NCSG) – Complete Guide**

**Description:**
**No Collision State Glitch (NCSG)** is an exploit that allows Ethan to move freely in certain levels, walk through walls, and access normally unreachable areas. This glitch has a very easy **enable/disable** method, making it a powerful tool for speedruns. Disabling it is also crucial since some levels can only be completed in Ethan's normal state.

**Enable/Disable NCSG Tutorial:** To enable NCSG you must start climbing a structure, pause in the middle of the climbing animation and abort the mission. In order to disable it, simply climb a structure and wait until the end of the animation. Below is the video showing all this in practice.

Don't forget to jump after start a level with NCSG to get to the normal ground height.

**Limitations and Best Uses:**
NCSG is not useful in every level. Some stages become impossible to complete due to instant death triggers or other restrictions. However, there are **three specific levels** where the glitch is extremely valuable:

- **CIA Rooftop**
- **Rooftop Escape**
- **Mainland**

NCSG allows quick switching between Ethan’s normal and glitched states without needing to reset the game, saving a lot of time in a speedrun. This glitch broke 50 minutes barrier.

### **Important Notes:**

- When moving with NCSG activated, it’s advisable to use the **R button aiming mode**, as the third-person camera may not function properly.
- **US VERSION ONLY**
-  The **fastest and easiest** way to activate or deactivate the glitch is in **CIA Rooftop**, due to the climbing structures near the start of the level.
- When entering a level with NCSG activated, Ethan will automatically be placed at the **lowest Y-level** of the map (*except in Terminal Room and Station*). To return to the normal ground level, simply **jump**. In some areas, Ethan can walk over sections that would normally result in instant death, but **if he jumps into these areas, he will die immediately**.

Security Hallway Grids

Red tiles electrocute Ethan. 
Orange tiles show up as red in-game but only trigger the turret to shoot Ethan. 
Diamonds represent guard triggers. These are tiles that generally don't appear red in-game but will open a door letting a guard out that must be killed.

Other observations:
• In grids 3a, 4a, and 5e, the lower diamonds spawn a guard from the door behind the grid while upper diamond spawn a guard from the door ahead of the grid. Spawning one of these guards prevents the other from spawning.
• Grid 5b is the only one with a guard trigger on a red tile instead of hidden on a blank tile.
• Ethan can aim-strafe across grids, taking damage from electrocution tiles but avoiding damage animations. This could be used to skip though the last 1-2 grids with enough health.
