Lakitu Cup & Ring Attack Ace Strats for LEFTY Wario
Aggiornato 8 years ago di MetalYoshi

There are two possible hole locations for each of the four Par 3s on Lakitu Valley for the first Tournament. The Hole 3 strats will also apply for the second Star in Ring Attack - "No Easy Entrance" - especially since there is no Rain on any hole in Ring Attack. These are with un-Star Lefty Wario. I have been leaning towards Wario lately for any% due to his extremely low trajectory, and the only thing holding him back against Mario and Bowser was the lack of Ace Strats - until now.

Unless otherwise noted, assume full power, perfect accuracy, and no Spin with the default club, so as to save space.

HOLE 3

139y Clear (Front-Left) - Play a low 6-iron two marks short of full power. Turned out to be pretty simple for such an uncooperative flag location. 139y Rain (Front-Left) - Club up to the 1w, making sure not to nudge your aim, and play a half-power shot with the Impact point down. Strange, but effective. 144y Clear (Center) - Play a low 6-iron with an accuracy mis-hit one mark right from the sweet spot. Also quite simple. 144y Rain (Center) - Club up to the 5-iron and play a high shot one mark short of full power with Backspin.

HOLE 7

123y Clear (Center) - Club up to the 4I, tick down to the 121y mark, time your accuracy one mark late of the sweet spot and use TopSpin. This works for 0% and -1% RNG. Thanks ZirconEagle16 for finding this strat! ALTERNATE: Club up to the 4I, tick down to the 126y mark, time your accuracy one mark late of the sweet spot. If you get +1% RNG, Backspin will salvage the Ace. Similarly, should you hit the 129y mark and get -1% RNG, Backspin will get you the Ace, too! 123y Rain (Center) - Time your accuracy one mark early of the sweet spot and use Backspin. 144y Clear (Back) - Using a top-right Impact Point, aim two marks short of full power and use Super TopSpin. I haven't been able to confirm this yet, but as per DeathBasket, if you get +1% RNG, you can salvage the Ace by timing your accuracy one frame early of the Sweet Spot. 144y Rain (Back) - Nudge your aim about half to a full cup's width left and play a high shot one mark short of full power. Without the aim adjustment, you'll land 0.57 feet to the right of the cup. This works for 0% and -1% RNG.

HOLE 12

157y Clear (Front-Right) - Toggle down to 144y and play a normal shot with Super Topspin. 157y Rain (Front-Right) - Toggle down one mark of power and play a low shot with accuracy timing one mark early of the Sweet Spot and Super Topspin. 166y Clear (Rear Center) - Club up to the 1w and play a low 3/4 shot with TopSpin. This works for 0% and -1% RNG. 166y Rain (Rear Center) - Club up to the 1w and play a low 3/4 shot.

HOLE 16

113y Clear (Center) - Play a low shot with accuracy timing two marks late of the Sweet Spot and use Backspin. 113y Rain (Center) - Toggle down to the 103y mark, hit the accuracy one mark early of the Sweet Spot, and use Super TopSpin. 112y Clear (Right) - Use a top-right Impact Point with accuracy timing one mark late of the Sweet Spot and use Super TopSpin. 112y Rain (Right) - Nudge the aim very slightly left and club up to a 7-iron. Hit a high shot with Super Backspin. This can work for 0% and -1% RNG if aimed correctly.
