its probably been a while, but I'm looking at doing some runs of the game and was trying to get a 1.01-1.02 version of the game for chopper skip and such. I've followed the guide to DL the old steam depot, but trying to run the game after cases save version errors. Any help/ alternatives would be appreciated :)

You would have to start a new save, or take the practice saves from the Resources tab here. Saves are only forward compatible, not backwards. Personally, I do Old Version on a separate Steam account that I library share the game to. Keeps things nicely separated without fiddling with the files a lot
