I noticed while doing Build Battle Parkour runs that whenever I hit checkpoint one, my time would almost always say 0:XX.X53 or X52. Is there a reason for this?

Maybe it is because you are reached a plateau. There's other reasons that may explain that, which are ping and game ticks. But the IGT is what we use for timing the runs.
