This is why you read the changelog before updating

I read the changelog PS4 updated regardless.

@MangoMan I already knew about this and the changelog but I am not allowed to get on my xbox on weekdays whatsoever because I am 13 and I have parents and share an xbox with a brother who got us in trouble so we can only play on weekends. I was fully aware of this but because of this I wasn't able to just get on and change the setting.

Can't you just disconnect the console from the Ethernet cable or something?

That's the only way to stop it updating unless you pause and delete the update every time you open the game. Unfortunately it's all too late for most people now. Rip console speedruns.

I actually paused the download at the time but the game crashed every time until I eventually removed it and redownloaded. Once you go online at all you’re forced to update really and once you do there’s no undoing it sadly.

I’ve started trying to run RSG but even still it feels a huge step backwards especially as you’re competing with the new strats people can use. I think you have to imagine .100 as a separate cat in your head to even try it because it’s not comparable to the real runs. The at ‘least you tried’ category 😄

Edit - There’s actually a few of us stuck with the update so maybe we need to see who can clock the fastest .100 RSG Time over the next 2 weeks or so? A bit of friendly competition

That's exactly how I've been doing it to.! Haha yeah I'm up for the challenge. Whoever gets the quickest time technically gets the 1.16.100 world record

Well as much as I didnt want to update to 1.16.100, not updating would leave me unable to play minecraft with my friends. As they had not much knowledge about updating and the nerf. It's not really a lose-win, but just a loss. But hopefully in the future Mojang buffs it in later updates.
