I have not submitted a run yet but i need to know if checking my statistics after the run is good enough or if i need an actual timer

It's preferred you use an actual in-game timer because the decimal place in the statistics isn't accurate enough for milliseconds. If it's that inaccurate we can do RTA without loads instead.
