A long time ago, before all the popularity toward minecraft speedrunning, I had an idea for a mini-marathon showcasing a lot of minecraft speedruns, ranging from regular vanilla runs to custom maps. We had a plan for it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yAPHJJV2CM0wAvv7EVjIRyRGr7uAxcsV08oDTn3xScw/edit#gid=1767520411
Should we pursue this idea? Please let me know.
I don't think the community is anywhere near big enough to do an event like this. Many people only do one or 2 categorys, non the less all of those.
also, 50 minutes for random seed glitchless is waaaaaay too optimistic only 3 or 4 times have been within this estimate. You could just get a really shitty world. But I like the idea
Actually, Bamz0rs, the top runners consistently get times that are under 1 and a half hour (not counting resets for the starting biome). So I'd say 2 hours or even 2 and a half would be about generous enough, assuming the runner is going to reset live.
Yes, in that case two and a half should be enough for even lower runners like me after some more practice :p
