Platinum% Tips

To get the health potion trophy as fast as possible, destroy all of the containers in the first area you load into, then after you collect everything, menu and start a new game, rinse and repeat. The trophy carries over saves, and the first area has upwards of 60 health potion drops.

To get the item trophy, you have two different options.
1. You can grind the end of Azure Cove, not destroying any portals and just grinding enemies until you get the 500 item drops
2. You can play Vulhe Castle over and over again, which is more fun yet slower, but it also has the benefit of dropping items that can be converted into stronger boosts, so it gets faster each run through.

The Burial Grounds Skip

So this one saves upwards of 5 minutes.

This is a simple trigger skip, but a big one.

You don't need to kill anyone who doesn't spawn as a direct result of approaching a door.

The Fastest Route

Arguably the best order at the moment to get the fastest run would be as follows: 

Tutorial, General Tiel, Azure Cove, Mines, Desert, Burial Grounds, King Lytherel, Vulhe Castle 

Azure Cove is one of the easiest places to mess up a run, so getting it out of the way early is very helpful. 

Mines is the obvious second spot, if not for the skip, then for the fact that you can unlock the guy who turns all of your items into permanent stat boosts. 

As of right now, there is absolutely no reason to go to Burial Grounds before Desert, and if anything it can slow down your run by ~4:30, due to the fact that you get no stat benefit by clearing Burial Grounds before Desert. The enemies on Desert are still a bitch to kill. 

Burial Grounds LAST, because it is the most linear of the four main locations. It is long (~10:00) and boring, but a great mental checkpoint time wise. Current WR pace is finishing it by ~42 minutes.

The Mine Skip

Okay, so when you go into Mines, you will see many waypoints (!) on the map. The Mine skip is very simple, but far from obvious based on how the rest of the game works.

To do the skip, you just need to go straight through the middle to the end. The encounters on the sides of the Mine are optional, and thus should be ignored for a successful run.

Doing this skip saves a significant amount of time.
