Took this strategy from Eattime's archived 29:53 run (and modified it a bit), but its honestly safer and quicker then spamming flurry throughout the whole first badge.
Starter: Health doesn't really matter 90 start energy at least Damage also doesn't matter, but if you can get mom's kabunga into red after one flurry you know you got a good snowcub (also if you do get it into the red after one hit use strike after to save time, if yellow use flurry again) take potions from the storage area
Route 1: skip it, the less of anything the better
Gale Forest: The plan for Gale Forest is pretty strict but necessary for the strat to work As you go to Duskit you have to kill -A single wild propae or coonocopia -The orange headband trainer with 2 antsees -The last trainer with a propae Preferably you kill the wild loomian before the propae fight, cause the wild loomian and the antsee trainer fight combined get you to level 8, which is usually enough to 2 shot the trainers propae, while at level 7 without the wild loomian fight you'd have to 3 shot it wasting time. All these things should get you to level 9 for the duskit fight, and starting the duskit fight by 9:30 is a good pace.
Duskit: With your level 9 snocub, the typical strat to kill duskit (which usually takes 5 hits) would be: -hit 3 times in a row, heal, hit, wait, heal if duskit is still alive after 5 flurrys I really don't like your chances tbh getting paralyzed is bad, as you have to go heal your snowcub at the center afterwards, which wastes time getting the duskit to shiver from flurry is always good a it makes it wait or rest quicker and more often, but don't bet on it. If you get flinched or dazed its not that big of a deal as long as they don't mess you up too much.
Route 2: skip everything after killing duskit reset or "get unstuck" and skip the loomian center entirely (unless you get paralyzed) run straight to route 3 heal before route 3 in most situations
Route 3: If the first trainers geklow paralyzes you with static shock, the runs basically over IMPORTANT: do Trainer Elizabeth 4 times exactly, getting you pretty close to level 14 everything else is normal.
Gym: If your snowcub is paralyzed from the last trainer on route 3 go heal at the Silvesnt City heal center, but if its in the green and you still have 3 potions go straight to the gym, which saves you a bit of time. The first 2 battles are similar to any other run, just spam flurry or strike until they die, and heal between the first 2 battles if you have too. By the end of the second battle however, you will get a level 15 snowcub, making it learn snowdozer, which you should replace with brace (doesn't really matter what, but you should still keep flurry and strike) Make sure you have full health for Naya and use snowdozer on the first turn It should take 3 turns to kill the first geklow (hopefully you don't get paralyzed by static shock) one shot the second geklow (as long as it doesn't dodge) one shot kleptyke (as long as it doesn't kill you with pilfer, which ruined many wr runs for me) be aware that every hit has a chance to miss, resetting the chain of snowdozer, which is pretty bad
The whole point of this strat is to save a dumb amount of time in the gym, sacrificing a bit of time in the earlier parts of the run. If you can get a 5 turn Naya battle, you save multiple minutes from a spam flurry Naya battle, plus a level 14 snowcub for the first 2 battles can save you a bit of time instead of a level 12 snowcub.
I got a 29:10 earlier this week but forgot to press record, but have also gotten quite a few sub 29s, and my best run would've been a 27:48, all of which were ruined with Naya either criting quick pounce or using pilfer As I said earlier, this strat is not only quicker, its also much safer then spamming flurry, so I recommend anyone at least try it out. Bye.
