IMPORTANT TECHNIQUES

12-1234 combo (hitting enemy with 2 quick attacks followed by a small wait to refresh player attack pattern, then do a full 4 attack pattern on the enemies to knock them over and kill them as efficiently as possible)  The only exception to using this technique to kill an enemy you need to kill is if they have already been damaged.  This combo will be used to kill most enemies that stand in our path to greatness.  Keep this combo in mind.

Spike Boosting (landing on top of spikes to shove the player to the other end of said spikes)  Has not been found to be useful yet, but it is worth knowing in case a use case is found.

Damage Ejections (taking damage from an enemy leading to a buffered jump/running jump that is executed before the damage animation finishes)  This is used a few times to keep moving (mostly) in either situations where damage is unavoidable, or when killing the enemy responsible for the damage is too slow.










WRITTEN TUTORIAL

(in order of completion)

Key: forwards=right (therefore backwards=left)

Level 1: 

After starting game, instantly run forwards past the enemy behind you and kill the bat with a midair kick on the way to the first gate.  If you are not fast enough, the enemy may simply run after you and make you lose time.
There is a cliff coming up in front of you.  There is one enemy on an elevated platform you can drop to, but another two waiting further down.  The idea is to drop down to the closer raised platform and knock the single enemy to the far left side with your dash attack.  Then, drop down quickly after doing that.  You must then hit the two remaining enemies to the farther right side of your current available area so as to not allow the 3rd enemy up top to gain action/catch up.  However, the main objective in this small timeframe would be to kill both the remaining enemies with one 1-1234 combo as you have already hit them with a dash attack that deals 1 damage.  As long as you kill both enemies on the bottom level and are far enough away from the 3rd enemy on the upper platform, you can progress.  There is an alternative strat that is possibly faster but is much harder/requires more luck to save time.  The timesave would be at best under a second though.  This strat is essentially luring the upper platform enemy down and killing all 3 enemies at the same time with a 12-1234 combo.  As of now the best/most consistent way of pulling this off would be to drop down next to the top enemy and then WALK down to the lower area.  Walking is ok here because it raises the likelihood that the enemy will follow, and you don't need to be killing any enemies until you lure the last enemy down.  Beware this strat.
The next area involves luring/hitting the 3 enemies in the area to the center/lowest point.  Which at that point you kill them all with the 12-1234 combo.  The most consistent way to get all three enemies into this place is to (when running forwards) look for a tree in the background.  You will have to jump when your player is lined up with that tree to be far back enough to kick the first enemy into the bottom area immediately.  Then, jump up to the level where the last enemy not in the bottom area is.  You must get on the other side of him, then do a charge attack into him to guarantee his descent into your little death pit; you now have all the enemies corralled at this point.  You then must place yourself at whatever point in the bottom pit that you can hit all three enemies at once.  Then of course hit them with the 12-1234 combo and then progress once the gate opens.  This strat tends to corral the enemies on both sides of the pit, sometimes making it very hard/impossible to quickly line up and kill all three of them.  A well timed dash attack could set them all up if one values consistency.  A more consistent, but probably slower method of simply luring the enemies with your presence to the pit could be used.
The next part is very simple and consistent.  You just have to stay on the top path jumping across the gaps whilst protecting yourself with kicks once you get in range to kill a bat.  The only thing you must remember to do if you take the upper path is that you must just run off the edge of the last platform, not jump.  If you jump, you will land either directly on top of, or too close to avoid the last set of spikes on the ground.  There are three bats in your way to the top, and counting them out so you know which platform to not jump off, is recommended.  Again, another alternative strategy could be used here.  It would theoretically take the exact same amount of time.  This strategy would be great for players who do not like jumping over gaps or killing bats, and find jumping INTO a hole with a fair bit of precision is easier.  You can jump into the first hole and simply jump over each spike left in the level to finish.


Level 2: 

This level opens to a quick sequence of precisely timed actions.  You must begin immediately once you gain control of your character.  First, dash attack the left enemy into the wall, then run into the enemy on the right and dash attack him into the barrier.  The dash attack will carry the enemy with the player presumably from the frame that you hit the attack button, even though the hitbox is not out yet.  You will need to wait to activate the dash attack as long as possible.  It might be hard to get him far enough right for this strategy to work.  This is especially true if he runs at you.  The enemy is just barely far enough away to allow you to not have to kill him, but only if you are damn near against the barrier.  So you need to quickly place your character as close to the barrier wall as possible.  You still need to kill the enemy that is next to you now, but it's not important which side you or he is facing.  Just stay as far away as possible from the other enemy far to your left as you deliver your 1-1234 combo.  If you run into a situation where the second enemy does not get hit far enough to be in range when you stand against the barrier, then you will just have to wait for him to run at you.  If you move at all towards him then the other enemy will reintroduce himself.  This would obviously lose you some time, but it might keep you from having to reset.  Forgoing the dash attack entirely and letting the enemy run at you instead after jumping over him can be slightly faster, but you leave it up to chance. On another note, there are a few alternative ways to do this area which could and almost definitely are faster.  Unfortunately they are not even remotely consistent.  The only one that could be used realistically is just getting lucky that the right enemy runs at you instantly.  You need to jump over the right enemy after dash attacking the left enemy into the wall.  If you are lucky enough then to have him walk backwards away from you into the wall, by the time you get to the barrier he will be far enough to where you can just run right through.  The redeeming quality of this strategy is that you can audible to it from the main strategy once you realise the second enemy has started running at you.
After running through the barrier, jump up the next two levels.  Beware of the second jump though, as you will need to kick early in that jump to kill the bat above you.  You will then need to do a running jump kick forwards to kill the next bat.  The next part is a platforming segment with a death void beneath that will kill you instantly if you fall.  You should not need to stop at any point in this first platforming segment.  Jumping on the larger platforms that allow you space to do so is helpful as it lowers the chance that an enemy will hit you.  You won't be stopped/slowed unless you are on the ground when struck.  The first jump is to a larger platform, but the second jump is to a smaller one, which has a bat coming at you.  There are three ways to handle this.  You can stop and jump in place to kick it in the air before then reinitiating your sprint and continuing.  The second, and far faster way is to essentially run into it then hold or mash the jump button.  This is a Damage Ejection.  Contacting the bat will stop you for a split second, but afterwards you will travel to the next platform whilst in the damage animation.  Unless you are absurdly close to the bat, if you start your jump before you contact the bat (even if you kill the bat with a kick) then you will not go far enough to reach the next platform.  Do not let go of forward at any point, and if holding the attack button as well feels better, go ahead as it makes no difference.  The third, and fastest way of all is to jump and immediately air kick presumably a frame or two before contacting the bat.  This is hard to do consistently but it will prevent you from being stopped at all.  The next platform has a bat in the way, but simply kicking in the air will clear your path.
Once you reach the end of this particular platforming segment, there will be two enemies.  This part has a small flowchart.  You need to look for certain enemy behavior to determine the fastest way to kill them, as they have different AI, are far apart enough, and there are multiple ways to kill them.  Unfortunately, you cannot push them far enough away to get them out of the barrier’s detection radius.  You will either have to deal 6 damage to each of them yourself like normal or hit/lure them off the edge to the area’s left.  The ideal scenario is that they move close enough to each other right away so you can kill them both with a 12-1234 combo.  Alternate ways include waiting on the edge of the last platform in hopes that you will lure them off the cliff, dash attacking them off the edge, and dash attacking them into the barrier to then be able to kill them both with a 12-1234 combo.
Now you will be running towards another small platforming segment.  You first need to run past the two enemies between you and the platforms.  Importantly, these enemies will not be nearly as predictable because they will have been moving around as you were completing the previous section.  The second enemy that usually stands close to the cliff is fairly annoying, as he tends to smack you in the one spot that you must be on the ground (due to you needing to jump at the cliff edge to the platform).  Once you get beyond those enemies, you simply jump up the platforms and kill the bat in your way with a kick.  The last jump off the highest platform to the enemy below is tricky though.  You need to space your jump to pass very close in front of him so you can land a reverse air kick before you hit the ground.  This action, if done properly, will knock this enemy off the cliff and you will be able to progress without stopping.  Keep in mind that this enemy sometimes gives the player a break and walks off the cliff willingly before you can even reach him.  This does not save time, but you would no longer have to land the reverse air kick.  Beyond that are two more enemies that sit a few levels above.  Jump up to them and stand between them and the barrier.  Let them approach you and once they are close enough to each other you can kill them both with a 12-1234 combo.  The barrier here is placed in a very weird position, as it is right up against an incline.  You will get caught for a moment if you just run into the wall until it falls.  You will need to wait a small bit away from the wall to allow for your jump arc, and time your run and jump to coincide as close to the barrier falling as possible.
The next barrier does not seem to work properly and you may just jump off the cliff over it.
The next part has a few steps.  Of course kill the two flying bats with air kicks on the way towards the incline ahead.  You will then see two enemies standing on different levels above you.  Your goal is to kill them all or knock them with either kicks or dash attacks down to the lowest level.  In which case you can then run up to the barrier and jump into it while running and you will be just far enough away from the living enemies and the barrier will fall.  Most of the time, the most efficient way to do this is to jump up and get behind the highest/furthest enemy.  Whilst doing this, the other enemy (as long as you don't hit him) tends to walk down to the lowest level on his own.  Once this happens, you can kill the final enemy with a 12-1234 combo.  If the second enemy walks down a level before you can kill him you may just dash attack him to put him down low enough to continue.
The next area consists of you (in order) dropping or jumping down, killing two bats with air kicks, jumping behind a single enemy and killing him with a 12-1234 combo, then running through to the next level.


Level 3: 

Once gaining control over your character, you must immediately kill the enemy standing within your range with a 12-1234 combo.  Do not jump behind the enemy or try to complicate the encounter, as you are already in an ideal spot to run through the barrier just as it falls once you kill the enemy.
Run past the next enemy and jump over the following spikes to reach a flat area with two closely placed enemies.  There are two ways to progress which both seem fairly viable.  The first is extremely consistent but is most likely slower than the second.  The first consists of jumping past the two enemies then quickly dash attacking them twice to the left before running to the barrier and jumping against it whilst running to open it.
You then run and jump across some gaps and platforms to reach a small pit between a ledge and the next barrier.  The bats in this section are placed in such a way that you will either have to jump late and hit them with a kick before you land, or jump early and jump again before contact as to be airborne when you are hit.  It is possible to use Damage Ejections here, but will be slower than simply killing the bats.  This pit contains two enemies that happen to be spaced relatively far apart.  The most consistently effective strategy here is performed by jumping past the enemies to then stand against the barrier.  If at this point the two enemies are close enough and lined up for a 12-1234 combo, then that is the quickest option.  However in the unlucky scenario where the two enemies are not lined up, a quick dash attack will line them up.  Once they stand back up, kill them with a 1-1234 combo (as you have already dealt 1 damage from the dash attack).
The next bit has you immediately dropping down on top of a bat which you kill quickly with a kick.  You then run down to the two enemies guarding the next barrier.  Your goal here is to try to bait the enemies to the left against the wall.  The best way to do this is to start by jumping to the far side, where the barrier is.  When you do this, the enemies tend to bunch up against the wall more often.  If they do bunch up, run over and kill them with a 12-1234 combo.  If they do not, do a quick dash attack to group them up and then kill them with a 1-1234 combo.  Keep in mind that this barrier is up against another incline that you will slow you down if you bump into it.  Perform the same strategy as before, standing a small bit away from the barrier to allow for your jump arc before timing your running jump just before it falls.
Jump up the inclines and then running jump off the cliff to land past the first enemy, but make sure to kill the following bat.  Folowing this are two enemies.  The first is standing above the second a level above.  Run past the first enemy and if you are lucky he will walk backwards away from you into the pit to its left.  You then are able to quickly kill the last enemy with a 12-1234 combo before running through the barrier, jumping up the inclines and finishing the level.  If the first enemy does not walk himself to the pit away from you, then you will either have to go back up yourself to knock him into the pit, or hope that he drops down to your level to where he can be eliminated with a 12-1234 combo.


Level 4: 

Start running forward and jump up the inclines.  Do not interact with the two enemies close to you, as you need to jump to the higher platform to the left and knock that enemy as far to the left as you can.  Do not go further right past the enemies to set up this jump, you must do subsequent sprint left and jump inputs on the left edge of the ground that you are standing on.  If you go too far, then the two enemies on the lower level will not follow you to the left and will therefore not get themselves stuck.  An air kick does the trick, but very rarely does it lure the other two enemies far enough left to also be out of the barrier detection radius.  A dash attack into the enemy up top will usually give enough time for the other enemies to walk down and get stuck.  At which point you can run into the barrier and jump through to progress.  This is an inconsistent strategy but any alternatives are dreadfully slow, so dealing with the unpredictable AI is pretty much unavoidable here.
You will approach an enemy below you, run past him.  There will be a bat just after, and an air kick will get you past.  Once you jump past the hole, kick down the enemy in your way by mashing jump and attack as you pass him.  There is one more enemy and a bat ahead before the next barrier.  The enemy up top is near impossible to get to before he runs off and lands on one of the inclines below.  We have to run and stay to the right (where the barrier is) until that enemy above drops down.  If the enemy then walks down to the left where the other enemy is, you can run up to the barrier and jump into it to drop down and progress.  If he does not, you will need to land a dash attack onto at least that enemy to knock him down to the bottom.
The next area is very simple, you are mostly holding forward and jumping to get over gaps and inclines.  There are 3 to 4 enemies and a bat in your way.  You can simply air kick past them as you are passing through the corridor and climbing the inclines.  The gap you see after you climb to the top should be jumped over and the bat can be killed as you jump over the barrier.
The next thing you will see is an enemy at the edge a of a cliff, jump past him.  Try to wait to jump as long as possible as to land you on one of the inclines, allowing you to only have to jump one extra time.  Kill the next bat with an air kick and run past the next enemy.  The next segment is where many runs go to die.  It is a small platforming area with enemies spaced in places that could end up throwing you into the spikes below.  The first jump to the first small platform is fairly trivial, but once you jump to the next big platform, you will need to immediately jump.  There is a bat that you must kill late in your jump arc before you land.  Jump again immediately after landing to hopefully get you over the single most dangerous gap in the game.  There is an enemy standing on this next platform that you will kick as you are landing.  You then jump again to the last area before the next barrier.  There is one enemy in a small, contained space.  There is also a bat approaching from the right.  Start attacking the enemy, but only hit him twice.  You must then stop attacking, jump in place, and land on top of the bat under you with a very late air kick.  You can now finish the last 4 hits on the enemy and proceed past the barrier.  Keep in mind that you might need to jump into this barrier to progress depending on where the second to last enemy ended up in all of this.
This last part is very simple.  There are a few enemies left but no barriers, so you can run and jump right past them.  Jump over the gap before the following inclines and you are ready to run ahead and complete the last level.
