Hi,
Now I know I ask a lot of questions about controls but I just wanna get it right.
So my controls would make it basically impossible for pause buffering, and I would like to eventually start using it. So I was wondering if you are allowed to rebind pause buffering with AutoHotkey.
If someone could tell me that would be very much appreciated! :D
Autohotkey is allowed for 1-to-1 remapping of keys, as the rules specify 3rd party programs are only disallowed for the purpose of Turbo/Autofire automation (it's reasonable to assume any macros are also disallowed with some ambiguity whether they'd be allowed for resets, but we'd need a mod to chime in).
The reason is, you can achieve the same 1-to-1 functionality by simply tweaking Windows registry using SharpKeys or Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator except with a lot of unnecessary inconvenience of having to revert these settings back each time you stop playing Boshy.
That being said, I'd work within the confines of what this community has traditionally allowed for remapping: 2 keys for jumping because of two Shift keys on the keyboard, 1 key for Shoot, and no key duplicates for any of the other features.
Edit: Not sure how to clarify, you can remap 1 key to 1 key in any way you want, 2 keys on 1 key would count as a macro and therefore not be allowed. So, for example, you can't use AHK to create a pause buffering script for perfect pause buffers.
