Avoiding Sasha skip console crash

Any ideas? I just lost a promising run (-40 at Trish Reaches Out) that went downhill right when I lost 27 of those seconds to the damn console crash. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe we should try to compile a list of our situations when it does and doesn't happen, to see if there's any commonality? I dunno. Any thoughts?

I'd say it would be simpler if this game had IGT, but the Sasha skip would probably confuse it anyway. Manual load removal for a 3+ hour run seems unfeasible, but should we maybe consider it?

I'm pretty sure that the method that SerSanju used to use was get Sasha Skip, Save, Reset. Thats about the best we got, it shouldn't crash after that.

Well resetting the console takes just as much time as the crash does (possibly more). I've had it happen several times where I can quitout from the game to the XMB without having to restart the console at all (either voluntarily or involuntarily). The split I'm currently running against didn't have a crash or reset. So it's aggravating to lose ~30 seconds against my PB through no fault of my own when I'm almost a third of the way through the run.

I just lost a few first runs doing this biggest time waste really makes me want to stop playin this shit

It shouldn't kill your run (the crash). It does make you lose 40~ish seconds over not getting it. Or do you mean the skip itself? I think I'm the only one who likes it :\ I hope we don't end up banning it.

What problems are you having?

My game didn't crash or anything its just one of the boss fight didn't start and it cost me my run.

I've played this game like multiple times when I got it back then but never played it all in one sitting. Yesterday was my first run I wanted to do for the game and went in raw only knowing what I knew from beating the game for like 5or moretimes in total an the zeke jump off glitch at the start.

Lets start with the biggest problem I had Alden echo is the mission it all went down hill because once I got near the boss fight at the dead end after u follow him for a bit I got to the area of the boss fight walk up to the back of the boss fight where the fire is and it didn't activate and me not know there was a boss for sure and wanting to get the mission done fast because it was a time waste because it my first run in years. There I start going up the towner to the right wasting even more time not know I was wasting time but after wasting about a hour thinking my game was even more glitched at the top of tower. This added up to a time waste of a hour to my run. (Sadly I in between getting mad that I glitched my game an wasted all this time I pause my game on accident recording at the 4hour mark when I kept playing on until 7hours run was done).

After that my run went on slow as a snail and coming across even more glitches where I died as I started to punch a enemies and my punches went throw them getting me killed this happened a few times which I stop using melee attack after that point.

Other glitches happened but there were not as a big deal they were like walking throw railing on walkways this one happened the most to me. Yea fun part of this was getting to fuk up my splits to the point i was not using splits anymore just the main timer because of all this shit going down but my splits look funny so yea that kept me going a bit too. I learned a lot for this one long ass run i did for this game that I could do to get a better time but Im going to lay off infamous for now and to learn more from other runs.

I really have a hard time making sense of your message (punctuation is helpful!) but it seems like you're referring to the fight against the Dustmen conduit at the end of "The Arrest." It's possible for the golem not to spawn in if you get too far ahead of the echo of Alden (or don't even trigger it). This game makes abundant use of mission 'flags' and in nearly all cases, you can't advance to the next one without hitting the last (there are a few exceptions). It's not at all hard to make sure the golem spawns in, so just try it again sometime.

Sometimes random shit does happen where you fall through the world and stuff (it happens at least in all three PS3 Infamous games). And Cole is dumb sometimes 4Head

I'd encourage you to try again, but if it's not the game for you it's not the game for you. Appreciate you giving it a shot, it really is a fine run.

By the way, on the actual topic of the thread (since I don't see it mentioned), it seems that restarting your console between runs is the ticket. If it's your 'first time playing the game' since you turned the console on, the crash doesn't happen.

Thanks for the help lucky no console crash happen to me but I will give this game another shot just need a break from it.
