p2r3's Speedrun Tutorial

Hi, welcome to Home Sheep Home speedrunning!

You've probably already seen at least one run of this game, and if you're not a speedrunner, some stuff might look slightly complicated.
But don't let that deter you from at least trying it out - it's a really fun game with satisfying movement that deserves more attention in my opinion.
So I've made a video tutorial that goes over pretty much everything that has been discovered up until January, 2021. This video should be all you need to start running, even if you're new to speedrunning or haven't been closely following the Home Sheep Home routing scene. (I don't blame you. It's a kid's game about sheep, after all.)

In the video, I mention a modded version of the game that adds an in-game timer, demo recorder and lots of other useful bits. I'll be releasing a separate video on that eventually.

To use HSH speedrun mod, you'll first need a standalone Flash player. You can get that here:

The mod itself can be found here:

Just download the first .swf file you see and open it with the Flash player.

Speedrun Guide

If anyone in the future wants to speedrun this game, I suggest installing Flashpoint so you could record the gameplay easier. Flashpoint is a project dedicated to preserving Flash games and animations. Just follow the instructions on the website to download and use it! (Make sure to install the Infinity version)

Steps:
1. Install Flashpoint Infinity
2. Extract the zip file
3. Click the "Start Flashpoint" shortcut
4. And you're good to go! Just search the game you want to speedrun in the search bar

And if you don't know how to get a timer, use Livesplit!
