Not necessarily ideal but I asked on reddit if anybody knew how to make an in game timer and somebody made a quick mod that gets the job done. Unfortunately does not apply to livesplit but will put a timer up in the top left corner until the game is fully closed

Ok I've made the IGT timer for livesplit (that hopefully works for everyone?) and added it to the resources page. Should pause the timer in main menu / loading screens / quitouts. Extract the file, in Livesplit go to Edit Layout -> Add -> Control -> Scriptable Auto Splitter, double click it and select the .asl file. Then right click Livesplit -> Compare Against -> Game Time
Thing is, the game's timer is made out of spaghetti like explained in those reddit comments, so this one's gonna be longer and probably more accurate than the counter in the menu.
Apparently Unity sucks in terms of making load removers and the latest update broke it. I've updated it for the latest version, guess this is my life now. If any of you give me the unpatched version's number I'll make one for it too.
