If used in the correct vehicles, typically faster cars, and turn a relatively tight corner, whether that being turn 3 in Green Fields or one of the hairpins on Heights Mountain, then you will see tyre marks on the ground and your car will be drifting whoch may give a speed boost if done correctly. For example, using the ASL Gariya when turning, as long as the turn, no matter which direction , is approx 90° or higher and is somewhat kinda tight then it will slide and if it goes for long enough, approx over a second, then the speed of the car will increase and if the speed of the vehicle was near or at its limit then it will slightky slow down then go to full speed while going around the corner however if speed is low then it will usually give a boost in speed so when exitting the corner, the speed will be much higher than not perfomring it.
If the corner is near the lower degree limit then braking before the corner will not be needed as it will naturally slide out and braking will lose time. If the corner is a medium, mild hairpin or a normal turn then a quick tap of the brake button(1) will make it easier to perform and will not lose much time here. If it is a major hairpin(Heights mountain has lots of these) then a quick tap of the brake will lose time as the speed will be too much for the corner. For this you will need to hold the brake longer and try to turn as close to the track limit is (ie a wall, rumble strip) (all corners in drifting do need this as well to save time but to get a decent time with tracks that have these then this will be mandatory and acing them is a must to get decent or good times).
The retimer i use to retime runs is currently not working as intended and i am therefore unable to retime runs. Please standby for a further update.
