Dialogue Skipping Glitch

I had initially found that you can skip Marcus's dialogue by crouching on a wall by accident one day. It works because you are doing an action which stops Marcus from saying the line. However that method is no longer used in runs because jamming your pistol to skip the lines is much better. Because it doesn't require a wall to crouch on and you can do it at anytime. This new method works on all versions of the game be it unpatched or patched for Xbox 360 or the Xbox One version.

Glitch/trick founders

Barge skip method found by me from a video, but they did it differently and used another path. Flurby also found the long barge skip initially, but we couldn't do it consistently. I found a way to do it consistently, but Flurby still remains as the founder of the long barge skip.

Crane skip found by a YouTuber and LIVE found a way to not make it softlock.

Dialogue skip found by me and is when Marcus is saying a line. You can either pick up a weapon or take cover on a wall and crouch at the right frame. If done right the line will be skipped and saves seconds. And if you skip all of the early ones in Desperation it's 10 seconds saved before the fuel tank trap.

A new method was found tho by Flurby and that is to jam your gun preferably the pistol to skip Marcus' lines. This is by far the best method as it doesn't require a wall to crouch one. Basically making that method obsolete.

Path Choices Guide

==I Tip of the Spear==

Hotel/Rooftops (Hotel)
Hotel is the recommended choice, however if you pick Rooftops you can kill the brumak a few seconds faster before he comes out the tunnel.

==II Denizens==

Going right at the path split where there are snipers firing at you from the right is the recommended path.

Left/Right (Right)
The right path is better because you can go up the ladder and get the locust at the top. Then take out the turret guy so you can kill the kantus and other locust. It's the safest and most consistent way to get to the turret.

Turret Controls/Laser Bait (Turret Controls)
This one isn't about speed, just more about not trusting an AI especially Dom to do something.

==IV Hive==

Stairwell/Lift with Troika Turret (Lift with Troika Turret)
The troika turret path is faster because you don't have to wait for the AI to open the door like on the Stairwell. Plus once you pull the lever to open your path's door and the Stairwell's you can go right through.

Upper Path/Lower Path (Lower Path)
The lower path is ideal because you get to kill the flame boomer, mauler, and grinder plus you already on the lower floor.

Left Hall/Right Hall (Either one)
Whatever one you are most comfortable with.

==V Aftermath==

Free Parking Left/Right
Start off the courtyard fight by killing the enemies on the left side then go to the right side. By going to the right you get to kill all the enemies on your lower floor and the top floor. As well as the ones on the lower floor with one path. With the left side you would have to make your way upstairs. The right path is faster because you can kill them all in one single path.

Streets/Garage (Garage)
This is more about safety as the streets choice is tough to fight where as the garage is more safe.

Removing Loading Times Guide

Due to how some consoles can be faster than others it is now required to take out load times as accurately as possible. This is done after you do a run and time the loading segments with LiveSplit. There are 14 segments that you will need to time and then subtract this from your RTA time. It is advised to do the times for the segments two to three times to get as accurate as possible. Do not however use different playback speeds on YouTube when doing this as it is not normal speed and messes up the time.

Counting the load time is done by timing a loading segment when the screen goes to black and the start of a cutscene or when Marcus is seen. Don't count thousandths of a second too instead after doing a segment change the start timer to the time of the overall time. So for mine after killing the brumak I started it at exactly 15 seconds and got to 31 seconds. Changed the start timer to exactly 31 seconds and repeated the process.
