i recently submitted a speedrun of the game bubbun, but the only moderator hasn't been online for over a year. is there any other way for the run to be verified?

Try to contact the moderator off-site. And if they don't respond, then submit a support ticket (page can be found from Help > New ticket) under "Become a moderator for an existing game". This will make it so you replace them as a moderator and they'll be removed.

Although as they haven't been online in so long, you might not even need to contact them to get the support ticket accepted.

thank you so much! i can't see how to contact them off-site but have messaged them on the site. in the meantime i will submit the support ticket like you suggested.

The only social media they have linked is their YouTube channel.

thanks for the help. I will probably have to wait a bit as this is a new account and so I can't become a moderator, but ideally the current mod will be online by then
