I have disabled adblocker though, that's why I'm confused on why it's just a gap with no ad on top.

@Sandstorm187 Since they've removed the option to donate to them, that's most likely why ads have returned, they need to make money somehow after all...

sandstorm just use adblock if it really bothers you. I'll be keeping the ads on myself though

@Merl_ The thing is, the layout seems broken for me even though I have adblock off.

@MrMonsh with adblock it should just look a bit lower down and shifted to the left.

@Merl_ I agree, but that's also the case whether I have it on or off. I'm not complaining about the ads themselves honestly (though I do find them pretty annoying), but rather that the whole layout looks shifted as you mentioned, and I currently have no workaround for that (adblock isn't affecting the alignment of the layout).

I have the same space on top and on the right side (empty) if using adblock, at any zoom level.

Ok guys, some bit of information about this:

After a bit of digging around, what I found is that this misalignment issue of the layout being shifted to the left seems to only happen when looking at pages without the new widgets bar at the right.

In other words, anything other than the main page or the user profile will have the issue, while those two will look perfectly aligned.

PS: Even when on the main page or your user profile, you'll still see the ads and the gap at the top. What I mentioned above is only for the shifting to the left of the layout.

Repost from another thread but: the reason i dont want to get ad block is because... i wanna support the site, but it gets kinda hard when you can barely post a post without clicking a ad every 10 seconds

Edit: The space on the right will align if increasing the page zoom. (The one on top will stay).

@dha If I'm being honest, I'll give them the defense on that one. The issue seen on that picture isn't so much the gap at the top, but rather the sheer amount of categories clogging up the space.

I hate the ads as much as the next guy, but gotta give credit where it's due

@MrMonsh I just verified 10 runs with the new "layout", it is so annoying having to scroll every single page I open. And the space at the right that appears at zoom 100% but not at zoom 110% is definitely broken.

Also getting the massive gaps at the top and right of the site on leaderboards and the forum. What a disaster.

Side note: I find it super scummy that they just slipped "oh by the way we're enabling ads for everything now haha" into an update about moderator tools. Really not happy about this.

So it's quite possible the new layout with the widgets bar is prepared for the new alignment, while the old layout without the bar isn't.

By the way: The Kappa and LUL emotes have stopped working for me here, while KEKW seems to still work. Is this the case for you guys as well?

Three ads on screen, in spite of account creation, in spite of what page you're on. This is pain.
