back when pac had the site you could donate to the site to get some extra things like name colors and badges. when elo got the site they removed the ability to donate and all who previously donated got a "original donor" hint text when hovering over their badge

i donated before donator perks became free

We got them because we donated to the site back in the day before it was owned by a company and you had to donate to the site in order to get badge thingies. When ELO purchased the site way back when, they made badges available to everyone, but anyone who had donated back in the day got to keep the "Original Donor" tag with their badges. So, I don't believe there is a way to get it now; just for people who donated to the site in the past back when it relied on donations to operate.
