Be patient with it, it is done manually and can take a few days before it gets changed.

Is there an updated thread that one is locked.

Go to your profile -> settings -> username Then you can change your username

You can manually change your username yourself through the settings in your profile.

this thread is FOUR years old and even the first post of the old linked thread says how to change name
