How can I add a picture that will show up next to my Username?

So by donating any amount I can add a Picture that will show up besides my name?

i don't think it's any picture, that's more like partner on twitch as far as i know

Most custom images are via Twitch partnership, the rest (The Mario coin I believe) are through donating, however there have been a couple of exceptions where people have donated a large amount have been given custom icons too.

Thanks for the explanation, it would be awesome if everyone who donates any amount (Maybe 5$+) can have a picture besides their name :)

Others with pictures next to their name have done work for the site for free. i.e. http://www.speedrun.com/user/milk

Sup :^) Yeah I sent an email and was also wondering how people had custom icons, the person I spoke to was so thankful for my donation that he asked what picture I would like there.

If you want to poke Pac to add the feature in a way generalized for all users, it's much more maintainable. It's basically hard coded right now, which is bleh.

I actually think that if everyone can add a picture that shows next to their name, if they donate like 10$+, a lot more people would donate to the site (Also me :P)

But yeah, I guess we would have to talk to Pac about that :)

Being able to get the custom picture by donating is definitely something that should be done, I'm sure it would get more people to donate. Also, this isn't Twitch, so the partnered users on that site shouldn't get any privileges here.

The people who are getting "privileges" are people who've helped out this site. And yeah, custom icons probably are a thing, donate £300 and see ;)

If you have to donate a significant amount to get it, that's fine. But it should be the same for Twitch partners, because being popular on an external site doesn't automatically mean that you helped this site ;)

Yeah I agree there should be a donation thing for custom icon, or at least a publicly announced "How to get custom icon next to name"

Twitch partners who're getting attention here are speedrunners, so some normal sub streamer couldn't get an icon, it's for speedrunners specifically for the attention they bring to the site, and thus make it what it is. Also I'm a bit ticked off that I donate 300 euros to help the site out became some sort of fashion statement, all I did was help out and then asked how people got icons, the person I emailed was happy with me and asked what I wanted. There is no "how to", if you help out the site enough then you'll get rewarded, that's all there is to it and that's what any admin here would tell you. Just a bit fed up that my icon caused people to start wishing for "how to's", donate 300 euros and find out for yourself how :p

The point is that the site doesn't have generalized code to handle this on a per user basis right now, so an influx of requests to do this would be cumbersome right now.
