I submitted a run for an unlisted game on July 14th, so I've been waiting nearly 6 weeks for a run to be approved. I submitted it with all of the required information, left nothing out, but still it hasn't been approved.
Is over 6 weeks really how long this process takes?
It takes time for staff to do game requests. They also have a real life. Don't push them, please.
Almost 20,000 games on the site and still the queue for new submissions is very long. Blows my mind a little.
Well, there are a lot of video games out there. Just to throw a number up, there are over 30 thousand games available on Steam alone (and that number is increasing rapidly). Combine that with other PC game marketplaces, 50 years worth of console games, obscure region-specific releases, and the giant mountain of mobile/web/self-published games... there are still plenty of games people could try to request.
And combining that with things like duplicates for games that already exist, malformed requests that we can't even tell what they're for, blatant spam/trolling, and people resubmitting the same thing we've rejected several times, yeah the queue tends to stay pretty full.
