Staff did do something here recently, they closed the thread that was discussing competitor sites.

@6oliath that was the site mods, not elo staff, elo did not read that thread they only "read" the stickies. Also, it was locked because they told @dha to make a new one and not necro a thread

They were just doing it to eliminate competition ;) cant believe you believed what they said @Merl_

thing is there isnt really competition. you either start your own site for your community or try to use what we have here.

SRC isn't youtube, where competing is next to impossible. Speedrunners would go back to wikis if they had to.

Especially given how there was a LOT of emphasis on community engagement when they took over. Strange.

Well, The request leaderboard moderation post was changed to display lewisandspark's name instead of darave, and lewisandspark logs into the site daily, so Elo is obviously doing something, but it's not anything we asked for from what I can tell.

Yeah, I assumed it was because of what @Liv said, before it was changed, there was a bold line at the top that said something like 'dont message me anymore im not staff anymore please"
