So there is this game I really enjoy playing casually and it has a speedrun.com page. It's Flood Escape 2 on ROBLOX, which is a game I played since release in 2017, and it's been around for a while the problem with the game itself is it gets a lot of updates as a whole and genuinely becomes off putting to speed run or manage the page, but instead of just calling it there the moderators made a separate category that becomes the main home category, which is just an older, and probably copied with Synapse or something before that was gone. It's stupid for those who want to play main game speed runs because these people have full power over the game as a whole when they genuinely don't deserve to because they're promoting a stolen copy in place of the real thing instead of making it a separate thing, and very lazily managing it at that. What would you even do here?
Have you spoken to that game's moderators about this at all?
And how active are they? Plus, is there community consensus on how you said you want the board set up?
sorry i napped too hard, they are KINDA active and i asked once on the matter, my motivation died to do anything about it but my point stands tall on the matter nonetheless
Well you're going to have to tell them how you think it should be improved. Or you could ask to become a moderator of the game yourself and try and fix the board.
If you really wanted, then you could try and get the moderator(s) removed from the board.
You could do this by submitting a Support ticket (under the "Become a moderator for an existing game" category). And say that the moderator(s) don't listen to community consensus so they should be removed and you added.
Although, you haven't said that there's a consensus about this, nor that you've tried to speak to them about it. So I'd think the ticket would get rejected.
The users moderating a game should represent the consensus by the players of the game for who should be moderating. If it is evident that moderators are not representative of consensus among runners, site staff may change moderation. Site staff will consider involvement of community members with the game when evaluating consensus. A 51-49 vote may not be a clear consensus, and we do not want to change the leaderboard every time community opinion shifts slightly, or someone new runs the game for another vote.
