Need people to answer some questions

  1. What is the main/current game you are speedrunning

  2. Q: How do you typically approach learning and practicing a new speedrun?

  3. What are some common challenges or obstacles that speedrunners often encounter during their runs

  4. How do you manage your daily life with speedrunning

  5. How do speedrunners handle the pressure and nerves that come with performing in front of an audience or during competitive speedrunning events

Finland
  1. ape escape
  2. i play along with a tutorial or a lower ranked run once then just start doing runs. best way for me to learn the route is to do the route
  3. dont know. like the only "challenge" mid run could be having to pee really bad
  4. what does this mean? i speedrun when i feel like it its not a job i have to do.
  5. dont know about others but i get a good co commentator and then i just play the game like if i was home streaming my runs and you forget you are in front of an audience

  1. Crash Nitro Kart GBA

  2. i watched what the top players choose and i practice it.

  3. On a Full game run they experienced some lag, also for completing The run some luck is required because Cpu's that are on last positions 6th - 8th they can get easily the tornado and hit you. another obstacle is Hardlocking the game, which sounds ridiculous but is more common than you think of ,on Tiny's temple you can easily get Hardlocked.

  4. Usually i prefer to practice on my free time and when i feeling ready a speedrun.

  5. Sadly I don't know about the others sorry.... but if it was me you will quickly notice that im nervous which is bad because you lose focus, you are not relaxed and therefore you increase you chances to Fail a run that exactly what will happen to me.

  1. I’m preparing for some Roblox: dungeon quest runs.
  2. Watch others speedrun it to learn strategies.
  3. Being able to go fast enough to beat your pb or even wr.
  4. I speedrun when I feel like it in my free time
  5. I get nervous but I just take deep breaths and focus on the game

  1. It's got to be DATA WING. Really cool indie game. When I heard it had its leaderboards on src, I got to speedrunning it after being done with the categories of some other game.
  2. At first I'm going for a non-recorded run without any route or strats. Then a few recorded runs. The next thing is looking for the routes and strats. Sometimes it can also involve practising certain levels. Usually, I try to find the routes myself. Of course, I may look at the guides and other runs at some point, but it's much more rewarding if you find the fastest route yourself. Then, it's just the muscle memory. A few runs and I'm more or less likely to memorise the whole stuff.
  3. Probably the most challenging thing is to avoid deaths and/or restarts. In most cases a death means a huge time loss.
  4. It's more or less about planning what to do. For example, if I have to study for something, there's a high chance I won't be speedrunning as I need to fully focus on revising material for tests or exams. And if I have enough free time, it's a good time for speedrunning. Though it's not just speedrunning. If it's not for procrastination, then it's for writing or drawing. Though I hope I can get back to such creative stuff soon.
  5. I've never been in any such event, but I believe it's down to their minds and coping with pressure. Probably the best thing to do then is to speedrun the game as if one was doing that normally. It's just you and the game.

  1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and planning to speedrun The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom soon!
  2. I try to focus on the bad segments of my runs and try to practice and improve upon those specific segments.
  3. I think being frustrated at not making much progress can be a major obstacle for speedrunning; it might lead a speedrunner to lose motivation over time and stop trying to speedrun the game they're speedrunning.
  4. Usually whenever I feel like it and have the time to do it.
  5. Personally, I try my best to stay calm and not lose my focus and try taking deep breaths. Sometimes I fall victim to the pressure and it loses me a really good run, but I try my best to remember that's just part of the process.
