I'm new, I have two questions, the questions in question are:
1: Is it mandatory to have a timer on the screen to validate a run?
2: on PS4 unfortunately the clips last a maximum of one hour, not having a PC and a capture card, can I make more clips of the same run and then join them and upload them?
I thank you in advance if I will be given an answer

Up to the rules for each leaderboard, but generally no, unless the game has a built-in timer.

These are segmented runs which are usually not allowed. As an alternative, if you have access to any camera, you could just point it at the screen to record that way.
Another point with 2 would be streaming to a service directly like Twitch or YT to get around the 1 hour limit for capturing. Only thing would be if it's on Twitch making sure the VoDs are saved for the 7-14 days (whichever you have).
for different clips of the same run, I simply meant that at some points of the run, I pause to save the clip so it's not possible? obviously after the micro cut made for the clip I start exactly where I was
@LucaUrbinelli You cannot cut clips and merge them later. You can only have one cut, with the cut being your full run (cut at the beginning and at the end). Otherwise, it’s not valid..
@LucaUrbinelli The entire run needs to be captured with no pauses. Otherwise you could stitch together your best sections from different runs. These are called segmented runs, and aren’t really tracked on this site in most games. This site generally uses RTA (real time) or IGT (in game time).
